Hi Moms,

Can anyone recommend an excellent stylist that can press children's hair in Southwest Dallas, who doesn't book 2-3 people at a time and then make you wait for hours before getting to you? Thanks a lot!!

What can I do next?

Hey R.,

You should try Rhonda at Gregory's Hair and Nail Salon on Hampton Road in DeSoto. She is really good. You might also consider flat ironing your kid's hair. It works well for my daughter (she's 5) and holds up just like a press.

Not Southwest Dallas, but this guy is the best. He also does a NON CHEMICAL straightening process that is incredible. His name Stephen Stanley, phone number is ###-###-####. He's up by the Galleria Mall. I drive over to get my hair cut, and my son's cut and straightened from the West side of Fort Worth!

Greetings R.,

I trust this message finds you well. I thought I'd send you this tid bit of info,as I'm certain most readers don't know what pressing is.

Before I went natural, I used to get my hair pressed at Salon Eclectic. The stylist's name is Sheila and she was really good! People thought I had a perm, that's how straight she got my course hair.

I can honestly say I never waited hours on end for my appt. Her salon is set up more like suite, so there could never be more than 3-4 people at a time in the space.

I'm not sure if she's still in the same location, but I'd be more than happy to provide you with the contact information I have on file.

Hope this helps

I have been getting my hair pressed for 7 years. My daughter hair is natural as well. When I do not have the time to do her hair I make an appointment with my stylist. Her name is Ms Norma. She has a suite in the Park Salons in Plano. Do not quote me on the name of the building. Her number is ###-###-####.

R.,

I live in Ft. Worth, but was thinking that if you want to take your daughter to a reliable, on-time stylist, you should try Regis. I have gone to Regis for years now. They do ALL hair, see you on time and get you out of the salon very quickly. Their "pressing" is with a Chi flat iron, and they do a great job. Prices are so very reasonable. Hope this helps! L.
