Ring Still Won't Fit

I had to stop wearing my wedding ring in my 8th month of pregnancy. My baby was born at the end of July, she is now 7 weeks old, and my ring still will not fit over my knuckle! I am wondering when other moms could get their ring back on. Am I doomed to getting my ring resized? How long should I wait? I do have about 12 pounds to lose to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight but I swear I had that much to lose at this point with my first baby and could get my ring on by this point! Can your fingers get permanently bigger from pregnancy like your feet can?? Is the summer heat still affecting me?

What can I do next?

Mine took MUCH longer to fit again after my second baby too. I was super frustrated toting my 15 month old and newborn around with no wedding ring!

I have no idea if fingers can permanently grow, but I do know after my first I finally broke down and had my rings resized because I just couldn't stand not wearing them anymore (and I did eventually make it back to my prepregnancy weight...they just would not fit!). Now I'm expecting #2 (in Oct.) and I've been swollen out of them since 7 weeks! I'm praying that I'm able to fit back into them after this one gets here!

You could also be retaining alot of water weight. If you are not breastfeeding go get some water pills from your local CVS or Walgreens or Walmart. They will do wonders! But yes, your fingers can change size for good.

It took me a lot longer to fit back into mine after my 2nd baby. 10 years later and I gained a little bit more. I think that was the last thing to go back to normal.
If it was me, I would wait a little bit longer to make sure before you resized them.

In the mean time, browse on over to qvc and pick out a pretty diamonique? one to wear in the meantime, and your daughter can also play dress-up with it later on.
