Has anyone tried the Sit'n Stand Elite Double Stroller exclusively made by One Step Ahead? It's only sold online so I'm not able to test it out at a store. It's not the common "sit n stand" you see in the stores. It's the only one I found that's a double stroller which can then be converted to a sit and stand for the older child. Thanks

What can I do next?

Hi S.,

If you want to check out this stroller, this one is basically the same thing: Baby Trend Deluxe Sit n Stand Plus. You may have better luck finding that in the stores (looks like Walmart may have it and RightStart - they have stores in White Plains, NY and CT - unfortunately the RightStart in Bridgwater, NJ closed).

I bought the One Step Ahead version for my sister-in-law when she had a baby and her other son was 2 1/2. They have a good demo on the website. This stroller seemed like the perfect solution for her (holds an infant carrier and - you are right - it converts for the older child to allow them to sit on a jump seat or stand). I looked at the Joovy Caboose and liked this one better. She says she loves it - but she says she loves all the gifts I give her. The one complaint I head from others is that the storage bin might be hard to get at. Good luck.

I have the regular sit and stand stroller. It's great. I have a 3 yr old and a 6 mo old and I love it. It's very easy to use.

I was handed down a sitnstand from my sister and I didn't really like it. I live on a long stretch of road and liked to go for walks with my girls. trying to maneuver this stroller is very difficult because it is top and front heavy. If you are just needing it for getting around a store or for short outings then it's probably fine but I found it cumbersome.

Hi S.,

I didn't like too many of the sit n' stand strollers as they tend to be very heavy. We ended up purchasing a Phil & Ted's stroller. It is wonderful. It is easily converted into a double stroller with one simple movement and can also be used as a single stroller. It will be the only stroller you need! Our son is 3 and is able to climb in and out of the seat himself. Let me know if you have any other questions. Hope this helps.

I have the Sit n Stand Elite and for the most part I like it. With any double stroller they are going to be heavy. I needed a stroller that would hold my infant seat and my toddler and I could not find any that were compatible except for this one. Now that my daughter is 9 months I am not crazy about her being in the front because it does not recline so far back. My 3 year old is in the back and she sometimes tortures the little one (not fun when you are shopping). Also, my 3 year old is very tall and her feet go past the foot rest into the basket below - not a huge issue but thought you might want to know. The older one sometimes naps so that is why I have not converted over to the stand position yet. Lastly, I thought this one was very affordable. Hope this information helps.
