I would like to find a container to put either juice or milk in for my daughter's lunch at school. Last year I just gave her juice boxes, but I think it would be more economical and better for the environment to use a reusable container. The aluminum ones seem to be only for holding water. Can someone recommend a container that I can use that won't leak? Thanks.

I am still looking for that elusive reusable drink pack as well. I wish the adult sports bottles in smaller sizes.
That said I would strongly caution you against putting juice or milk into a sigg bottle. I tried that and unless you are absolutely RELIGIOUS about cleaning them out right after use, it's a great way to ruin them. They are almost impossible to clean once they get mold in them.

I buy the smallest Gatorade bottles (12 oz,number 1 plastic) or the very small (8oz,number 2 plastic) SunnyD bottles and simply re-use them over and over after washing. The little SunnyD's come in a 8-or-10 pack at our grocery store Shaw's. They get one with water and one with juice that I buy in large bottles.

SIGG water bottles (which you can get at Target, REI, and online) can be used to hold juice, milk, or whatever else you would like. Although they are stainless steel, they're coated with a special food-grade epoxy inside so that absolutely no chemical leaching of any kind happens. The only thing you can't put in is carbonated beverages (because the carbonation will cause the bottle to leak at the spout - but that's the same with any type of water bottle). We have used SIGG bottles for years. They're super durable, come in tons of cute designs, and leave no taste in the water/juice/milk. They come in several sizes.
We just got a Sigg bottle at Target for my 1st grader's lunch box. She only gets water so I didn't check on the juice use.
I've been sending my son's lactose free milk in a wide-mouth thermos with Star Wars characters on it for the last couple of years. (both Target and our local toy store carry them). It is short and fits well in his lunch box. I put his milk in it and put it in the freezer while he gets ready for school and on the few occasions when he hasn't finished it, the remainder has come home cold. All the plastic ones I tried eventually leaked and didn't keep the milk cold.
Whatever you use, if it is plastic, make sure it is "BPA" free.
I believe Rubbermaid makes some. I found some at my local Long's store.
Or look online like at Amazon or E-bay.
Nowadays, "BPA" free water bottles are more prevalent and easier to find. Many will come in smaller "kid" sized bottles...

they *do* leak a bit if the lunch box gets too warm (like when my kids leave their lunchboxes on the playground all afternoon and there was still juice in the box) but I get around this by putting the box into a sandwich size ziplock bag (which I rinse out and re-use until the bag leaks LOL). I fill and chill them the night before or freeze and then take out first thing in the morning so that the contents are cool but not frozen by lunch time (trial and error to find out what works for the time/temp in your area)
the metal ones with straws are fine but i noticed that they took up alot of room in the lunch box. so this year i got a small plastic one at target by embark.
We recently bought a Thermos from BabieRUs and it works great. No leaks and it keeps drinks cold.
I know that they are sold everywhere now, but I got a stainless steel "water bottle" from flylady.net. I have put milk in it with no problem.
I bought a tinker bell thermus from Walmart for my toddler's bag. It hasn't leaked yet and it keeps her water cold all day long. I haven't tried juice because she is only aloud a little bit a time at home, but I think it would work fine for that too. I like mainly because it's a good size and it has a straw too. They also had Dora the explorer, disney princess and hannah montana ones.
My son uses the Kleen Kanteen with sport top because that is easy for him to open and close. It's a high quality stainless that is safe and can hold anything in it including milk and juice. My friends use the small ones for sippy cups and I use a bigger one for myself. Check their web site for info and check other sites for your best pricing. Sometimes friends and I go together on an order to save shipping at reusablebags.com.
We are using Embark Eastman Tritan Water Bottles from Target. Go to the Target website and search for them. The reviews are mixed but these are really great bottles.
