My MOPS group had made Resurrection Eggs a few years back and I really would love to do them with my kids this year. Do you start opening the eggs 12 days before Easter so that you open the last one on Easter? I've never done them before and would love to know the right way they should be opened. Thanks!
One of my best friends does these every year, and she does them all on the afternoon of Easter Sunday as part of an egg hunt. The egg hunt also involves some regular candy-filled eggs. Her children come with the symbols they find in the eggs and explain them to her to receive prizes.
You can also do them all at once. You can do an egg pass http://www.christiancrafters.com/game_eggpass.html or an egg hunt and then share the Easter story using the eggs.

I made mine at a MOPS group too. I do them with my son starting 12 days before Easter which would be March 19th. But you can do them anyway you like.
Must be a new thing. I have never heard of resurrection eggs. I'm a Christian.
I think I would let the kids do Easter rabbit stuff, and then make sure they know the Resurrection reality story to go along with.
