We plan on taking our 2 children, who will be 5 and 3 to a beach resort this summer. Does anyone have a recommendation for a resort in Mexico, Florida or the Bahamas ( or other) that you would personally recommend for this age of children?

What can I do next?

We chose Waterscape in Fort Walton Beach. It was perfect!

Look on Funjet.com, they have some great deals to Mexico. I went to Cancun with my daughter and we stayed at the Sandos Playacar Resort on Playa Del Carmen just outside of Cancun. It was fantastic! They had tons of kids there and they have activities for the kids all day. They even have a fashion show and stage performance that the kids can perform in. The beach is gorgeous. Its all inclusive which I highly recommend when in Mexico with the kiddos. Funjet was great because they take care of everything. Flight, transfers from the airport, hotel etc.

We went ot Kissimmee, Florida last summer. There are so many beaches 45min to 1 hour away. Disney is 5 minutes away and the resort was wonderful! We could see the Disney fireworks from our condo. There was so much to do that you did not even ever have to leave. Lots of scheduled activities, movies, 8-10 pools including a lazy river and slides, putt putt, golf, playgounds, restaurants, boats, fishing, everything. It is like its own little city. We flew there and drove back and the drive was not bad at all. If you check southwest airlines early you can get flight for as low as $60 each per way. Check it out.

I haven't been, but know people who have gone to Beaches resorts with their kids and had a great time! I'm assuming you don't want to do Disney?

I don't have a resort but can tell you that I am counting down the days for my 2 year old to turn 3 and head out on a cruise. Not sure if you'd consider that but it is a good option for things to do as a family but also for some things to do with just adults since they have adults only restaurants and such.
