My daughter is two, she will turn three in October. I would like to enroll her in preschool a few days a week come fall and was hoping for input on any preschools in the East Cobb area. I am just beginning my research on this and would appreciate any past experiences or recommendations.

What can I do next?

Hi J.,
This may be a bit out of the way for you, but my daughter attends preschool at Marietta First Presbyterian off Marietta Square. She has been in Mother's Morning Out, and the preschool program since she was tiny, and we have loved it. The teachers and staff are caring, very engaged women, and my daughter has really seemed to enjoy her time there. She will be attending next year as well. Plus, at least for our budget, it is very affordable and convenient.

Good luck!
Jenn

I just started my daughter, a 3-year old, at Creative Montessori today. Its main campus locates on 3001 Johnson Ferry Rd, and my daughter goes to their second facility a couple blocks down. It seems to be a nice place. My daughter and I visited 4 schools total.

I also would recommend Kids R Kids off of Johnson Ferry. It really is a wonderful school with teachers that truly care about your children. The other thing is that if you can get her in now, then she will automatically have a spot in one of their GA funded Pre-K programs when she turns 4. Otherwise it's REALLY HARD to get a spot as there are long waiting lists. Good luck!

My daughters both go to St. Catherine's: http://www.stcatherines.org/preschool.htm
I am very happy with the school. Most schools in East Cobb have already had registration. So I would call about openings soon and take a tour. I strongly recommend St. Catherine's Preschool.

Are you North of 120 or South? I did research recently to find a new preschool for my three year old. Our present school is closing. I looked at Mt. Bethel UMC, St. Catherine's on Holt Road, St. Peter and St. Paul just north of 120 on Johnson's Ferry, and Wood Acres. I liked St. Catherine's best, but decided to go closer to my house, which is very close to the bridge at Johnson Ferry. I also didn't like the 9:30 start which is common in this part of town because of the middle school start time.

I would suggest Mount Paran Christian, after 14 months of visiting and interviewing we ended up with MPC, we feel so blessed. You should try this out.
