Removing Formula Stains from Furniture

Shaklee cleaning products are great for cleaning and DO NOT contain chemicals. There is also a great hand wipe with their Basic H2 product. I'd love to give you more information!

Be careful about trying more and more products, because the left over chemicals that remain on the material could be interacting which each other and causing additional stains or fabric disintegration. You might have to steam clean it just to get all the various solvents out.

Resolve carpet cleaner takes stains out of everything and has never discolored anything I have used it on. I spray it on every clothing stain my kids get and it has even gotten out permanent magic marker. It doesn't dry hard or need a lot of rinsing, just spray and wipe off, then use warm wet rag to rinse.

I have the same problem with my daughter we have cream colored furniture made of that same suede like cloth too so the stains can get pretty bad. I have had really good luck with with Resolve Multi-Fabric cleaner.

We use oxyclean to clean hard to clean things. I use keep a large container of this stuff and use the granuals to make a thick paste with water and soak whatever needs to be cleaned with it. After it soaks, I then scrub the area several times. I have never had it not get something out.

If you use vinegar and water after you clean it, it will take away the "crispy".

There is a product called "Incredible" that they sell at Bed, Bath & Beyond. It will remove any stain I have found. I don't know how it works, but it's great!

I am looking for that answer as well. my furniture sounds similar to yours. It is microfiber. Also why i am at it, any results on removing crayon marks.

i dont remeber the name of the product but you can only find it with the baby cloths and toys ect not in diaper isle or laundry isleits in a spray bottle it takes the stain of the formula right out of there cloyhs so i'm sure it would work on furniture too ,i 've only found it at wal-mart and target

I like to use plain old club soda when cleaning up stains from carpet, furniture, even in the car. It literally lifts out stains. It is a chemical-free, and doesn't leave a residue. Good luck!

Try Folex which can be purchased at Bed Bath and Beyond. It gets just about anything out. Use as directed and it might take two times. It is used to get wedding dresses cleaned so I think it is pretty safe. I use it on EVERYTHING I have had a stain, known or unknown. Good luck with that!

It sounds like your furniture may be made of microfiber. I know this is going to sound crazy but Purell works great for spot cleaning microfiber. It has taken pen marks, wine, and spit up out of my couch. Just put a small amount on a cloth and rub in circles. You may want to spot test it first.

I've used oxyclean before but have found that it leaves a sticky residue sometimes which collects more dirt. I have a couch that sounds like it is made from the same material you have. When my daughter got the stomach flu 2 weeks ago she hit the couch. What we used was liquid alive enzyme. I got it at a janitor supply store. It worked great. I would just test it on part of your furniture first to make sure it doesn't discolor it.

My name is M. and i had the same problem few months ago. And my Aunt came from Mexico and she mixed 1 cup of Fantastic, 1 cup of Windex and 1 cup of 409 original. It worked for me.

When I had Stanley Steamer come to my house once, they told me that equal parts of vinegar & water are the best cleaner. Sure enough, I used it on my white couch (I have 3 kids!). It also works on carpet. Try it !

Mix oxy clean and water in a spray bottle. Works like a charm!

Club soda has a "lifting" action from the bubbles - it works great on carpet and most upholsteries. Pour a bit on the stain and blot with a clean cloth rag. I will say it works best on fresh stains - is a lifesaver if you get a red wine stain... Also, you can rent a steamer (Rug Doctor) from the grocery store for about $30.00 with an upholstery attachment. You clean other places that you have traffic wear or other pieces of furniture - once you start, it's sort of additive and you get a great feeling from "Spring Cleaning" these types of things.
