We are planning to remodel our kitchen in the near future. We need to change everything: appliances, floor, cabinets, lighting, etc. I was wondering if anyone has good recommendations for a contractor? Also, is it better to go with a private contractor or with places like Home Depot, Lowes? What is a good place to buy applinces? One more question: does anyone have an induction stove? If yes, is it worth spending the money on it? Thanks in advance.

What can I do next?

My husband works for Bella Casa Kitchen and Baths. They work all over the Tampa area and are highly recommended by all of their prior customers. My husband, Rob, is the salesman so you can call him directly to schedule and appointment or ask him any questions you may have. His phone number is ###-###-####. We just remodeled our kitchen. It was fun picking everything out and now I LOVE being in our kitchen! =) Oh and we got our appliances at Home Depot when they had the 10% off and no interest or payments for 12 months. Good luck and have fun!

Hi K.,

Remodeling a kitchen is something that most people only do only once and can be overwhelming. My advice would be to stay away from the big box stores. They use alot of sub-contractors and have horrible reviews on consumer sites such as Consumer Affairs and Complaints.com. I have found that utilizing a customer based (not advertising based) referral service such as Angie's List is the best way to find a reliable contractor. Good Luck!
