*Relations* During Pregnancy...

Yes, I said *relations*!! LOL

Did you and your partner change your $exual practices while you were pregnant? I know that due to big bellies, we sometimes have to adjust positions, etc., but other than the belly, were there other reasons you changed what you "normally" did? (I've heard where some people stop having it - gasp - or don't do certain things, or have hang-ups during pregnancy, that kind of stuff...)

Just wondering... so far, things remain the same with us... well, other than I seem to want it more, which no one, namely my husband, is complaining about. LOL

Did you change anything?

What can I do next?

Yup I really, really was not into sex. Gave hubby a few hand jobs here and there but I really did not want to have sex. Before pregnancy we were doing it 3-4 times a week, after having my daughter big drop off and only did it 2-3 times a year (for about 2 years), now we are doing it 2-3 times a month.

We continued to have sex throughout pregnancy, however, once I got a big belly, doggy style sex was the only was we could do it comfortably.

Nothing with the 2nd pregnancy. My husband and I were rabbits. Lol. : )

He still tells me he misses my pregnant libido (our son is almost 3). But then again, I do too.
The day before our son was born, we were doing our thing when I had a really good contraction. I had to tell him to stop for a minute... Right after it subsided, we continued! My DH says, "Um, I didn't feel him try to grab me..."

Even funnier... The next morning, I went to the OB's office for my last checkup and when he checked to see how far I'd dilated (for the record I was already 5cm/80%) when my son had his hand on TOP OF HIS HEAD and tried to GRAB the Dr's finger!!!! LMAO!!! When I told him what my husband had said the night before, he just laughed and said, "Only from you would I hear that."

My ex wouldn't touch me while pg with our daughter. So, I ended up with carpal tunnel. LOL!

Yes and no... for one, my husband LOOOOOOVED the curves, so he was all over me, BUT... this is his first kid, so he was SUPERRR nervous about 'hurting the baby'... I jokingly poked him in the head a few times and said 'see, that didn't hurt!' HAHAHA!! But he kind of took me seriously, and I actually had to drag him to my OBGYN appointment and have my doc tell him 'I can leave you two alone in here for a bit, if you'd like to make up for lost time'... HAHA! Yeah, my doc got his point across, and then it was GAME ON!! :)

Count me in as another expectant mama who is permanently in the mood these days! And I'm game for nearly anything, it seems. No complaints at our house, either!

I remember us being very sexually active when I was pregnant- and the positions didn't really change at all until I got very big, we had to make adjustments for the belly of course. My husband loved pregnant me, and I had never felt more alive either!

This mama hated pregnancy. It wasn't morning sickness (I never had it), and it wasn't even the intense pain shooting from my sciatic nerve. I was just one of those mean pregnant folks, the ones who never get touched by strangers because they look like they might bite ;-)

Relations? Not very often. Not very often at all. It hurt, I felt clumsy (more than usual), was bloated, and didn't want (I'm going to get lewd here) ANOTHER person inside of me. I never got that second trimester boost in sex drive.

I had a lot of sex during the last few weeks of my pregnancy. I had posted my "womb eviction notice", and was trying to activate labor. My husband...didn't mind.

Well like you said when you start to get bigger by the day you obviously have to adjust but I found that it actually started to hurt some down there from the added pressure and swelling so we always had to use lube but it just made for messy fun
Happy Humping =)

With my first child we had sex up until the end then waited six weeks after. (lol, I hurt so much so made him wait two extra weeks.) We just used one position so I wouldn't get hurt with pressure or my stomach wouldn't get in the way. This baby has been the same so far.

We slowed down quite a bit during the first pregnancy which annoyed hubby (he never got mad at me, he was very understanding, just sexually frustrated)...with the second pregnancy I wanted it alllll the time. He always says it was the best time... :)

I wanted sex all.the.time when I was pregnant!! Seriously! I couldn't get enough. Hubby was a happy man.....until about the 7th month and I was getting huge and he got nervous so our sex life really slowed down and that was about the time the doc put me on bed rest so it all worked out.

My husband is in the Army and was sent on training when I was just finishing my first trimester. Everything up until that point had been normal. We got to have a visit together right before my third trimester and my husband did feel a little uncomfortable with the whole thing, but that could be because we had been abstaining for an entire trimester. My entire third trimester we were apart, so we had no choice but to abstain, so I have no advice for that late in the pregnancy, but I think that if you continue as you have always been, the "weirdness factor" will not be as strong for your husband, because he will be more used to it.

We never changed anything. I told him to get it while he can because that 6 weeks is a long time. :) However, we only waited 2 1/2 weeks after baby. Enjoy all the relations you can now.

It didn't really change much until the last month and then my husband had some issues. I didn't, but I think he was quite nervous. It was our third child and he never had an issue with the other two, but i was HUGE with this third baby (she was born at 10lbs 9oz). I think he was worried about hurting me. I was a horn dog during my 2nd trimester, but not really for my husband. that's a lot of work. I just wanted mine and then went to sleep. lol

My first marriage was falling apart when I was pregnant the first time, so there wasn't all that much sex, but it wasn't because of the pregnancy. My second and third pregancies, we had sex just as often as before -- pretty much every day.

We started up again about 2-3 weeks after the birth -- my midwife said that it was fine 3 days after all bleeding had stopped. I tend towards fast labors with no tearing and recover quickly -- I can totally see not wanting to have sex for a while afterwards if your body reacts differently.

I was constantly horny while pregnant, and my daughter's dad was no longer my significant other. I had a few one-night stands while pregnant.
