I am thinking of using myregistry.com for the baby showers. I have heard mixed things about and not really sure how it works on the "buying from end". Has anyone used this?

Also, Wanting to "request" a certian sized diaper to be brought to the shower if bringing them, how can I make sure that gets done and or poilietly put into the invites??? Please don't say that I should not request anything to be done, they folks throwing the showers are asking what i would like.

What can I do next?

I did a registry for my wedding (online) and baby shower (in-store) and got very few things that I actually picked. Also, I do not really buy off registries, either... I prefer to pick out more "personalized" gifts (with a gift receipt, of course).

Hey, if you get the wrong size diapers, you can always just return them to the store (exchange for the size you need).

I have not used the website you mentioned but my response is on the request ... you can put a card with the invite that says the size of clothing you request (3-6 or 6-9) newborn is NOT used for long and you can buy some onezies for that age frame easily... and diaper size requests, and any other specifics... they will either read it or they won't but this way it is not on the actual invite should someone scrapbook it for you. We did an extra card for my friend's wedding who was not allowing children since it was in a backyard with a large pool and could not ensure the children's safety. It worked perfectly the only child that was there was hers (the flower girl) who went to bed right after dinner! I think that would be a good way to go about it because you can include your registry location(s) I would urge you to use a local store as well for those who do not have computer access or are not very computer savvy!

I'm not familiar with myregistry.com, but wanted to suggest a tactful way for you to receive what you need.

First, you can register for the diapers you want, the sizes you want and cover yourself from that angle.
Second, if you want to encourage people to bring diapers, and in specific sizes, your shower hosts can offer a raffle (noted in the invitation), which provides a raffle ticket for each package of a particular size of diaper that is purchased for you.
