Recipes That Include Halloween Candy??

We have a lot of lollipops and tootsie rolls. Any ideas what to do with them? We don't really care for them, but would probably like a cookie or a cake that used them as an ingredient. (I used 5 packages of M&Ms to make cookies last week). I did an ingredient search on allrecipes.com and found only one hilarious recipe when I typed in 'tootsie rolls' in the ingredients I wanted. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

BTW - I don't have a TON of tootsie rolls (not enough to send to a nursing home. I think I have maybe 15 rolls total) I do have quite a few lollipops though. Oh and my son's 2.5 -- we don't go to school. Dad's got a ton of candy at work. Maybe church?

So What Happened?

Hungry Girl had some recipes, but none for tootsie rolls nor suckers. Yes the allrecipes recipe was for a cake that looked like kitty litter. Hilarious. I will see how much candy I have. I do have a friend or two with an excess of candy. Perhaps we can pool it all together and send to the troops. If not, I like the idea of using the suckers as gift-wrap. I love to wrap gifts. Thanks for your suggestions. :)

Bet you found the catbox cake recipe with the Tootsie rolls, haha.
With the suckers, you could crush them and make stained glass cookies. Roll out sugar cookie dough, cut them out, and cut out the center. Sprinkle crushed hard candies in the center and bake. You should bake them on a silpat mat or parchment paper for ease of removal. Very pretty!
I don't know about the leftover Tootsie rolls. We never deal with that, but save them up and give them to my mom, who is an addict, LOL!

Some churches are participating in Operation Christmas Child, where they put toys and candy and necessities in a shoe box and send it off to children who would otherwise get nothing for Christmas. Candy that doesn't melt easily (like the lollipops) would work well in the boxes. You might call around to your local churches, and see if there are any that could take the candy. I live in Cypress, TX, so it might be too long of a drive. They do take the candy donations, though. If you want more information you can email me at ____@____.com

Check out the book "Hello, Cupcake!". They have amazing recipes for cupcakes that use a lot of different candies as part of the decorations. I am saving some of our Halloween candies in the freezer for future cupcake masterpieces!
There is another book in the series called "What's New, Cupcake?" and I made the robot cake featured in this book. It was a hit at my son's birthday party!

A dentist near me had a "buy back" and then sent the candy to military service people stationed overseas. It might not be worth that for just a few pieces though unless you had a group of friends or something.

My church gives candy at most kids' activities, so they are always appreciative of donations of any kind or size!

What comes to mind is to make lollipop bouquets for classmates or adding them to goodie bags at your next party (or school party).
