Random Waking Times for Nighttime Feedings

Hi
Has anyone had their infant (2 months or so) wake up at random times to feed during the night instead of a consistent routine? My child wakes up at different times each night and it really messes up our schedule during the day. Has anyone been through this and how do you guide them to wake up at a certain time? To note, my baby drinks the last bottle at the same time almost daily so it's not like the last feeding is causing these random times. Thanks!

yes having a 2 month old wake up a random times is normal. remember he's only been in the world for about 8 -10 weeks. With an infant this young you need to feed on demand. He will develop his own schedule as he grows.

Yes, you may not see any kind of routine in your baby in terms of sleep until maybe 4 months old or so, or you'll go through phases. You mentioned you have a schedule throughout the day; that's impressive at this age, so maybe you're actually ahead of the game! good luck. This too shall pass....

Hi M.,
Do you have a set day-feeding schedule? In my experience with my 2 boys, consistent feedings and naps during the day kept them happy and (mostly) quiet at night.

Good luck!

my little guy is almost 3 months and is just starting to get something resembling a schedule. Hang in there and just go with the flow. Let the baby sleep and eat on their schedule and it'll work out fine

I dont' think infants develop routines until they are 4 or 5 months.

He's probably going through a growth spurt. Feed him, and worry about schedules later!! He's a newborn, they do this.
