Hi Moms,
Of course of all the weekends we could have rain it would be Saturday potenitally.....Thunderstorms but you know how it goes....Anyway my daughter's birthday party is scheduled on Saturday with a blow-up water slide and filling up water balloons. etc. .Supposed to be 92 so get wet outside for a few hours should make the kids very happy. Well they won't be if it's pouring rain. What do I do if that happens? I have 8 kids coming to her party varying in age.....Suggestions?

Ok...P.S. they are calling for thunderstorms.... :(

What can I do next?

If it is anything like the weather we have been getting here the rain will just be added pleasure. We got rain last Sunday, I was playing in it!

At least in my opinion kids in swimsuits don't mind rain nearly as much as adults do. :)

If its raining, but not thunder and lightning, you can still have them play in the rain...

If it is: Popcorn and movie in the living room?
Coloring pages
Dress up?

Oh, and don't know if you have party favors yet, but a beach towel would be perfect as a give away.

first do not just do a free for all playing with toys
schedule as much as you possibly can and just have the kids go from one activity to the next. You may want to have these no matter what so the tired kids who are done with water still have something to do.
Go back to the classics (all of these can be made to fit theme by changing a small thing, like if beach/water is your theme you use sand toys instead of normal buckets and ball in bozo buckets)
*Bozo buckets
*pin the tail on the donkey
*musical chairs
*play music and have them freeze when you stop it (seriously they can do this for a half hour straight easily, you'll be bored before they are)
*telephone, telephone
*ring around the rosie, red rover, red light/green light, Mother May I, etc.
*hide an object and they search for it, or multiple objects to search for if you want everyone to do it at once

Good luck!!

I hope your party didn't get rained on. If so, what did you end up doing instead?
