I haven't tried Quick Weight Loss but my husband and several friends are using Nexagen. And all love it. My mother has gone from a size 22 down to a size 14 in I believe 5 months. My husband has gone down 2 sizes in 3 1/2 mths although he didn't need to lose too much. Here is a website you can check out that tells you about it.

www.nexagenusa.com/startthepatch

It's an all natural weight loss patch. No shakes, pills etc. I even started selling it because there was such great feedback. I haven't started using it yet bc I'm pregnant so I'm waiting until after my baby comes so I know exactly how much I've lost. Let me know if you would like more info. I have quite a bit of info and on the website I believe it also has ingredients listed and what each ingredient does. If it doesn't have that let me know and I have a flier with that info.

If you want to lose weight healthy and keep it off I would go to weight watchers!! You can still eat the same things as your family and go out to eat and all but you will lose. Its all about portion control and choosing the right foods!! I went to weight watchers from the end of January to the beginning of May and went for a size 18 to a size 7. It WORKS!!!! Right now I know that they have free registration and if you do the monthy pass online you get to go to the meetings and use the e-tools online(which is awesome) for $39.95 a month. Seriously everyone of my friends that had seen my weight loss joined as well as my brother and all are very happy!! Hope you get success in whatever you choose!!

I went through the Quick Weight Loss Center process 3 years ago. I lost 50 pounds. It works if you do what they tell you; however, once you go back to eating somewhat normally, the weight comes back quickly. They will tell you that you need to continue to take their supplements for the rest of your life in order to maintain your weight once you reach your goal. It is very expensive. I spent approximately $3,000 - $4,000 to lose that 50 pounds. I have gained some of it back. I will not go back, because it is too expensive. The eating plan is very restrictive and I couldn't stay on it for the rest of my life. I went to Weight Watchers and found that it worked just as well for me and the eating plan was a lot less restrictive. I definitely liked the cost a lot better.

YES! YES! YES!! I have done it twice, and am a walking commercial for that program. If you truly commit, it works very well. The key for me is the accountability factor, because you have to walk in there three times a week and sit down with someone who will be weighing you and taking your measurements, so slacking is not really an option.

Price is based on how many pounds you want to lose. The fewer pounds to your weight loss goal, the cheaper it is. You'll have to pay for the whole program up front, or if your credit is stable, you can apply for a financing plan to pay the cost. ON TOP of the program price, you'll have to buy daily protein supplements as you lose. There are seven servings in a box, and you need two servings a day, or two boxes a week. These go on sale pretty regularly, which is when you need to stock up. Regular price for a box was $15 last time I was on the program, about 4-5 years ago.

They will also suggest that you take some supplements. You need the vitamins (about $25 for a 30-day supply), but if you can't afford the rest, don't worry about the other items such as fat blockers. Supplements and vitamins will do the trick.

HOWEVER... please, please, please be VERY careful when choosing your supplements!!! I have heard that they have started to eliminate the Aspartame in some of their items, but many of them DO contain it, and you DON'T WANT THIS IN YOUR BODY!!! NutraSweet is very very bad for you, so avoid it like the plague.

And be prepared to spend more money on groceries. Though you will only be shopping in the fresh foods, you will be buying LOTS of meat, so that gets a bit pricy, too. But to encourage you, I'll tell you that I'm not nor have I ever been wealthy in the least, and even on my meager salary, I was able to afford it and it is WORTH IT!!

I wish you the best of luck whatever you choose to do!!

I have tried them, at a cost of maybe $1000. I have been paying this down for sometime and still owe. I had to quit because it was so structured and I had to fill out a meal plan every day and it was the same thing. I know that doesn't sound like much but I have 2 jobs and was going to college for my BS degree, plus I have 2 kids and a house to run. I don't have time to think about "needing" to eat, much less what I am "going" to eat and how it fits into their structured menu. Ex: you can only eat 1/2 a carb, 3 proteins, 1 fat, etc. and you fill in the blanks. For the time I was on it, I only lost a few pounds (definitely not worth the $1000 I spent!)

I have tried Jenny Craig in the past and it was a bit pricey (roughly $71 - $112 a week + your purchases of salad trimmings, yogurts, and fruits) but I lost 30 pounds in just 3 months. So, it's a bit more expensive but that rate is variable depending on the foods you choose. Plus, you don't have to eat their foods forever.

I'll give you a hint (what I learned from Jenny): Eat 6 times a day - 3 meals and 3 snacks. One snack is a yogurt, one is a piece of fruit and one is whatever you want (cheesecake for example - just keep it relatively small). Eat a salad every day for lunch (unlimited veggies!) and keep your meals small. The snacks in between keep you from getting hungry. So, it's small breakfast, 2 hours later a yogurt, 2 hours later a small lunch with a salad, 2 hours later a piece of fruit, 2 hours later a small dinner and top it off with the last snack. Make sure you time it right, 2 hours give or take, and do not eat after 8 or 9pm.

You can pay me $1000 now! Just kidding. That's all Jenny is, learning to eat properly.

Hope this helps and good luck!

Hi S.,
I have a wonderful program with over 40 different meals to choose from which are high in protein and low in carbs and calories. The average weight loss with our program is 3 to 7lbs weekly. You will also be incorporating regular foods, like vegetables and unlimited salads and a grilled steak, fish or chicken daily. I personally have lost 30lbs so far and still have 15 more to go. I work with you one on one and if you give me 2 weeks you will be extremely happy! Feel free to call me ###-###-#### or visit www.RenuYourself.com for more info on the program! Good luck!

With their strict diet, supplements, etc, I lost 26 lbs in one month. I kept it off for around 6 months, then gained it all back, plus an extra 15. I have since jointed Weight Watchers - it is much more doable. It seems very appealling to lose weight that fast, I kept saying if I could just get it under control I would maintain.
It seems like when I cut out carbs nearly completely, my body made up for it after I went back to eating normal. Sorry, but I can't recommend it. Weight Watchers seems to be the ticket.

A friend of mine went through several and I had to bear with her as she goes through them;

One center put her on this order packaged food plan that came out to $300-$500 a month. Gave free stuff and free membership for the first two weeks. Required her to be on a plan to consume large amounts of fresh fruits & veggies. It was not compatible with her lifestyle so she gave up on it. This was a program similar to Jenny Craig's weight loss or Weight Watchers... Several ladies have previously remarked on it so I will no repeat their information here.

I had two other friends of mine join CURVES... Ive heard nothing but Good things from there. Everything they teach is pretty sound and most women get results. Having been in the Marine Corps I learned what kind of things you should be looking for... but also it needs to pass the reality test... does it fit my lifestyle and can I keep up with it?

I truly detest memberships fees. So I am a little biased but I do recommend CURVES. Good motivation and structured workout right there.

Personally Ive learned to eat small snacks frequently through the day, dont miss breakfast, dont starve yourself. The plan you pick needs to be flexible, realistic, and affordable. With what I learned and the use of Slimmetry I went from a size 16-14 (I fluctuated) back to a size 8/9 over about a period of a year. Its been almost 4 years, I havent used supplements since that year and Ive still kept the weight off. I did do similar workout to what CURVES offers, but at the time I couldnt afford it so I did what I could from home.

If your looking for a program you can do from home, I can offer you a really good deal due to the (re)discover Slim program by Nutrilite - a GREAT for any LIFEstyle Very flexible - Teaches you how to have a BETTER lifestyle & the hows/ whys of weight loss. You can use entirely as your program for weight loss/ optimal health OR you can use it to supplement a current program...LESS than $250 for a 28 day supply:
http://cwarren6.qhealthbeauty.com/products/product.aspx?i...
Its similar to what I did and used but its complete and steps you through everything (includes FREE shipping, 100% guarantee... open the package, even use it - dont like whats there send it back and get your money back).

Right now, for MAMASOURCE members only, when you buy the system you also get $50 of additional products of your choice.

There is alot of good information here, what ever you decide to do, its important to get involved with a support network...Another reason I can also recommend CURVES is for their supportive atmosphere...Good Luck!

Hi S.,
Please don't waste your time and money on quick diets, they DON'T WORK! I have tried every diet out there possible and yes you loose weight fast. The same way you loose the same way you gained every pound back. Do it the old fashion way. If you have a sweet tooth eat a fruit. Don't eat after 7pm. Drink lots of water during the day, stay away from drive thrus.

I have lost over 25lbs and have kept it off for over T. yrs. I get on the treadmill for one hr Monday thru Friday. I don't eat in between meals and drink lots of water.

Hi S.! There are lots of ways to lose weight quickly (liquid diets, fasts, low carb, low calorie) but before you make any decision, you should think about what kind of diet you can maintain because as most of these Moms have said, it's sooo easy to gain back. I did low carb and lost 80 lbs in a year and had very good success keeping it off for the past 7 years, but that was because my whole family eats low carb with me and it was a lifestyle commitment. No matter what plan you go with, you should talk to your spouse or family support and figure out what will work best for all of you, because you can't be making mac and cheese for them and eating celery for you and think you'll have any kind of long term weight loss. Good luck with whatever you decide on.

WEIGHT WATCHERS!!

I am a lifetime member and, yes, I have fallen off the wagon in the past but the great thing is that it's not hard to get back on! I lost 25 pounds after the birth of my first child (I gained 60 and couldn't lose the last 25) and I've been a member ever since (almost 10 years ago). I LOVE the program because you can eat! You can eat fast food if you have to/want to but you have to allow for it in your day. It's eating a balanced diet, drinking water and excercising. It's a lifestyle change, not a diet. If you lose weight on WW and then go back to doing your old habits, of course the weight comes back on. I can't say enough about WW. I will forever be a member! It's worth at least checking out. I think right now because it's the beginning of the year they are doing free registration.

Good luck!

Hi S.,
I have never dealt w/quick weight loss center, but my parents have done the supplement shake type diet and they had quick weight loss. The down side is that when they tried to eat normal again they put all plus some back on. I was seriously thinking of doing the weight watchers thing, but did not want to invest the money.(just could not justify it to myself). I just happen to come across a web site one day called Sparkpeople.com it is free and gives you a meal plan you can actually follow and keep track of if you eat out. I have been on this program since Dec.4, and have lost 8 lbs. but I have been motivated to exercise a bit and I have made time for it. My experience in the past is if "it comes off fast, it will come back faster". Hope this helps with your research. D.

Hi S.,

Losing weight is a hard battle to win. I have tried many programs and have found a combination that seems to be working for me. I have been able to lose 20+ pounds, still have many to go, but making progress.

I am a distributor for a weight loss patch that has not only helped me lose weight but has helped me with depression issues. For more information please feel free to check out my website at www.nexagenusa.com/fatlossgirl

Another thing that seems to be helping is taking a really good vitamin. After much research I came across another direct sales company that not only sells the absolutly best vitamins but the best and healthiest cleaning products out there. Detoxifing your home will help you and your family in many ways. For more information about this company, please, please contact me. Since changing our cleaning supplies my bi-polar child seems to have less issues and outbursts and my other child that is ear infection prone is doing so much better.

But you were asking about Quick Weight Loss Centers - my experience is that they are expensive and the food combinations they were requiring weren't realistic for my family of meat and potato eaters.

Good luck on your journey. If you would like more information about either of the companies I suggested above, please contact me.

Hi S.,
I've done quick weight loss and L.A./Pure weight loss and i've compared the two. Yes, the programs do work IF you stick to what they tell you to eat. I am living proof and I have a friend of mine who actually lost 100 lbs doing "quick weight loss". Though L.A. weight loss is closed down now, I like that program best because it allowed you to eat more of the foods you like(very similar to weight watchers). I paid $157 to start. You have to catch them when they are doing promotions. The rest of the money I spent was spent on some of their supplements, but you don't neccessarily have to buy all of that(especially if you work out regularly).

The only reason people gain back more than what they've lost is because they choose NOT to change their lifestyle. These weight loss centers are basically there to help you change your the way you eat. If one goes back to eating they way they used to eat before they started the program, then of course they will gain the weight back; and then some.

Because I pretty much know the eating plan and how everything works, I'm refusing to go back to the center and spend more money. Basically, if you decide to do it,be ready to really cut down on a lot of the food you eat, and meat you eat and milk. You will lose the weight, but your mind has to really be ready to stick with it.

I just want to recommend the eat this not that books. They have one for eating out, one for kids, and their new one supermarkets. It just educates you on the foods you eat anyways and helps you make simple swaps to get the most nutrition and least fat and calories. Very inexpensive investment.
