Quick Books vs Quicken

Is this for personal or business?

I use Quicken for personal and Quickbooks for my photography business. They are both good but I believe Quicken is predominately used for personal.

Both are great programs though.

I love quickbooks. It is easy to navigate and you can import your bank statements and write your checks right out of it. I am not that familiar with quicken, but I have heard good things about it too. Either way is fine I am sure, it is just a matter of learning the software.

We use QuickBooks for our business. It is easy to learn, I make a pdf file and regularly send it to the accountant and my hubby for review.

The program is easy to navigate and it walks you through a lot of the steps.

From an accountant's point of view...get QuickBooks if you are going to use it for your business If you are just going to be doing personal stuff, either is fine. Also, I know that you can download QuickBooks Simple Start for free. Good luck!

I don't know if you are totally against doing an online system, but I use mint.com, and LOVE it. I've used Quickbooks (for business) and Quicken for personal before, but I love having the online access of mint.com.

I used QuickBooks for our home business for 5 years and found it very easy to use and extremely user-friendly. If you're using it for business I recommend finding an accountant that knows how to use it as well. When I ran into problems I could call our accountant and have him help me figure out where I had messed up! Good Luck.

I've never used Quicken but I love Quickbooks. It's very easy to use.

We use Quicken at home for personal! WE LOVE IT!! It is user friendly! I have only heard of using quickbooks for businesses. I have never used it, but heard it is good too!
