Question About Swine Flu Vaccine...

I was thinking about the SAME thing this morning. I am leaning towards no. My children do not have any pre-existing conditions and they do not get the normal flu shots. THere is not enough testing done on this and I have 2 nephews with autism that still my be linked to vaccines. It is bad enough that the Gardisil vaccine is causing neurological damage in some girls. All of this is speculation, but why put anything that could potentially hurt them in their body? THese are my thoughts; so I hope no one takes offense.

There is a swine vaccine? Wow, where have i been? I dont get the flu shot. They say every year this is the year that it is going to be bad. Every year we have made it threw the year. With the swine..is there still a scare? And we do have better living condtions and medical then the areas that where hit hard.

As a nurse, I think that vaccinations are really important. The dangers of swine flu are many and young babies and children are a high risk population to not only get the virus, but also to have more complications from it because their immune systems are not mature enough to fight it off. Medical professionals recommend vaccinating all babies and children over the age of 6 months as well as anyone who cares for them because babies and children are considered a high risk population when it comes to the flu. I will absolutely be having my one year old, as well as myself and my husband, vaccinated because I don't want to take any chances. The flu can be fatal, so I want to protect my little one.

P., No way. I do not do any flu vaccines. I am not going to be swayed by the government that I NEED this vaccine. No one in our house has ever had the flu nor have we ever had a vaccine for it. I am not going to treat this flu any differently. I am however going to try to keep the house clean by wiping down the door handles, etc. frequently and keeping all of our hands clean. Hopefully we will not get any flu this year. A friend in health care told me that you can expect an earlier than usual flue season and to just keep everything as clean as possible and don't touch your face as preventions.Here's to your good health.
