Pumpkin Patch Recommendation

A friend and I want to take our kids to a pumpkin patch next week when her kids are out of school. We live in Keller. Are there any recommendations for a great pumpkin patch nearby? My friend doesn't like to drive very far. We have already visited Homestead Farms and although we adore that place, we just wanted to try something new. TIA!

What can I do next?

I'm not sure what your friend defines as too far of a drive, but I highly recommend the pumpkin patch in Argyle. I also live in Keller, and it's about a half hour drive. You can visit their website at www.pumpkinexpress.com for more info. The train ride is fun, and there are a couple of bounce houses, a hay bale maze, lots of photo ops, and, of course, pumpkins!!
I have also been to the Flower Mound pumpkin patch, which I USED to really like before I discovered Argyle. Flower Mound also has lots of activities (but no train, although they do have a hay ride), but the layout is difficult to maneuver through, and it also seems to be more crowded. The other trade-off is the cost. With Argyle, you pay for the train ride ($5 per person unless age 2 and under), whereas with Flower Mound I think all the activities are free. BUT, if you're actually looking to pick out a pumpkin, the ones at Argyle are at least half the price of Flower Mound. That's been my experience anyway!

We go to The Pumpkin Express in Argyle (just up the street from Keller) here's their website: www.pumpkinexpress.com

My kids love the train ride it's $5 and they get a free palm pumpkin and lollipop. Check it out, I like it better then the one(s) in Flower Mound.

I really don't recommend the Flower Mound Pumpkin Patch we were there last Friday, it was still sort of muddy and insanely crowded, the mazes and bounce houses are free. The hay rides don't run during the week unless you're there with a group. I've heard good things about the one on Hall-Johnson Rd, in Grapevine/Colleyville.

Hi, I was looking for the same thing. I looked at The Pumpkin Express website. It says $5 for admission and train ride. So, is that $5 to get in and $5 for the ride also?
Just called. $5 to get in and that includes the train ride. 2 and under are free.

There's one in Grapevine and 2 in Flower Mound that aren't too far. http://familyeguide.com/Flower-Mound-Pumpkin-Patches-DFW....

My kids went with a friend yesterday afternoon, and I hear they're finally drying out:)

Good Luck!

You should check out Halls Pumpkin Farm in Grapevine (actually it's right on the edge of Colleyville & Grapevine). They're located at Hall Johnson & Pool Road. http://hallspumpkinfarm.net/

We go every year and the kids love it (we've already been twice this year). Admission is free, but you will pay for the hayride-$2 or corn maze-$5. They have a large assortment of pumpkins all very reasonably priced. HTH
