My son is 3 years old - will be 4 in August. I would like to get him enrolled in a preschool close to home. I've contacted Bobbie Noonan on Division St. and would like to know if anyone has had any issues with this school? Also, those of you with children in preschool already, what should I look for? I will not be the primary drop off/pick up parent so I am also looking for advice on how to build a relationship or at least be familiar with the caregivers.

What can I do next?

the christian church of lockport is located on farrell and division. they have a 3year old preschool program that is tuesday and thursday from 9:30 to 12pm. they also have a 4 year old program that is M-W-F at the same time. they offer snack time, recess, music, and they do crafts and holiday parties. both of my kids went there and my son is there currently. you can locate them in the phone book and contact jennifer hollis, she is the director and will give you all the info you will need.

Like Danielle K, my 4yr old son attends St. Paul's Lutheran Church Preschool. We are not Lutheran, but Catholic and my son loves it. He has come a long way since he started. His teacher and aide are very helpful and understanding about the kids' needs. The classroom ratio is 8 children to a teacher and teacher's aid. They keep the parents up to date on what is going on and how your child is doing. If your child is lacking behind on something, they will let you know and give you some pointers on what you can do for your child. When my 16month turns 3 I will be sending her there. I would recommend this pre-school to anyone.

My oldest and middle son attended Bobbie Noonan's and we loved it. They teach them so many things, but I could not afford it for my third child and found an even better alternative right down the street at St. Paul's Lutheran preschool -of course you don't have to be Lutheran to attend -we're Catholic! I actually wish I would have known about them before because I would have sent all three there. The teacher is phenomenal and really cares about the kids. It's a small classroom size compared to Bobbie Noonan's. There is only 9 kids in my daughter's class and she is bringing home work that my kindergartner brings home. I am so pleased with it.
