Hi! Check out the lasmadres.org site to join a mom's group in your geographic area and birth date of your child. For example Santa Clara 2008 or Sunnyvale 2009. I belong to a las Madres group and it is a lot of fun, both for my daughter and for me!

Hi! Welcome to San Jose!

I belong to a neighborhood group called Las Madres. You do pay to have access to their services (I think its $50), but there is also a free trial membership. You get to choose the neighborhood group you belong to (ie. Campbell, Cambrian, Cupertino, Sunnyvale). Check out their website www.lasmadres.org. Also, there are two reviews on Yelp http://www.yelp.com/biz/las-madres---moms-group-san-jose.

Good Luck!

I would like to invite you to come tour our family child care/preschool in Campbell. We are a play-based school, eco-healthy certified, and have a small capacity in order to more effectively facilitate relationship-building among peers as well as between caregiver and child. You can find more information on our website at www.motherearthschildrenfcc.com, and if you are interested, I would be happy to schedule a tour with you or answer any questions you might have regarding our preschool program.

Also, regarding Mom's groups, you can go to www.meetup.com and search for moms' groups based on your interests and location. Many are free or charge a minimal $5 annual fee. Another one I like is called Awesome Moms of the South Bay, which is free to join. Hope this helps!

I absolutely agree with the suggestion of Las Mardres. I'm an alumni too. It saved me! I highly recommend Neighborhood Christian Center as a preschool. Christian or not it's darn good. http://www.myncc.net/

Las Mardres group is really good -- our old group "Sunnyvale '90" still gets together once a year or so (the moms that is). Most of our kids are in college. . .

There are some good parent participation pre-schools, too, like Cupertino Co-op, right by Fremont High School in Sunnvyale (Fremont Ave, just past Sunnyvale-Saratoga). The city of Sunnyvale also has some pre-sechool and gym-kids classes. Check there parks and recs booklet (you can get one at the Sunnyvale Rec Center off of Remington. I would imagine the cities of Santa Clara and San Jose have similar programs.

Have fun!
