I have been considering going back to work for quite some time, and now, I have an offer I can't refuse. So, now I must finally settle on a preschool for my newly three year old son. I have visited a few, but I am undecided, and I need your suggestions. I need a facility that offers preschool curriculum with daycare hours. My son is particularly interested in learning Spanish but that isn't something that the school has to include. I live near Terrell Mill and Paper Mill in Marietta; my husband works at Windy Hill and Powers Ferry; I will be working in the Northridge area of Atlanta.
I love The Suzuki School, but, at $1,450 per month and a not as convenient location, I'm uncertain. I wasn't crazy about the facilities at Tabula Rasa, although the concept was good. Bright Horizons on Windy Hill was nice, but I don't know. Originally, I was sold on the Montessori approach, but I seem to be favoring a more blended approach these days. I am open to considering all options; I have even considered sending him to The Suzuki School two days per week and sharing a nanny with a friend three days a week, or vice versa. Please share any and all feelings you have on the matter. (I would also love to hear which schools I should avoid and why.) Thanks!

I also have a wonderful school I send my kids too, but it is in the West marietta area, so probably too far for you.

Kids R Kids on Johnson Ferry Rd! Absolutely wonderful school! A very educational facility and not considered a day care by any means. Though they are open 6:30-6:30. Great staff and teachers :) They have a lot of extracurricular activities some included (Chinese class, yoga, music) and some are a separate charge. I'm not sure if they are doing Spanish right now, but they have in the past. Good luck finding a place for your son.
I've heard that people like Creme de la Creme (sp?) on Woodlawn. It's across from Dickerson Middle school. A couple of my neighbors send their children there for preschool and daycare, they seem to be happy with what they offer. My children go to Mt. Bethel UMC Preschool but school is from 9:30-12:30 with an option to go until 1:30 so this may not be what you're looking for. And they're out for the summer now. The church does have a day care center just down the road from the main facilities on Lower Roswell, may be worth checking out. I've heard many people also like Wood Acres and Johnson Ferry Baptist, but I have no experience myself. Good luck!
