Hello ladies! I am looking for a part time (2 or 3 days a week, a few hours each morning) preschool for my daughter, almost age 3. I am most interested in the quality of the teachers & curriculum, followed by cost. It can be religious, non religious, in home, or part of an elementary school - however I am not interested in a corporate daycare environment (ie Kindercare, Tutortime, etc.) as we've been there & done that. My daughter has been home with me for 4 months after having been in daycare her whole life & I want her to get back into a learning & social environment. Thanks!!

What can I do next?

Hi Kiran,

I know this is a little late since your request! But I am just STILL so excited about the preschool I found for my son that I had to share it with you. Look into Shadow Rock Preschool. I interviewed so many schools for my son when he just turned 2 and found only 2 that had true classroom settings for 2-year-olds. I have found a true family at Shadow Rock and these people really do love and care for our kids. The teachers are second to none and, they actually provide a HEALTHY snack every day! Lots of the parents at Shadow Rock were preschoolers once upon a time and that really influenced my decision as well. They are on 8th Ave just South of Thunderbird. We have lots of kids from Glendale... not sure if that is too far for you, but it really is so worth it. They have afternoon programs too for the days you need that extra hour or two. You won't be disappointed! :) They are at ###-###-####. Good luck to you and your little one!! ~ W.

I am a SAHM of 4 children 15yr old girl (, 10yr old boy, 2 1/2 year old girl and 9mo old girl. I also care for a one year old girl 5 days per week, and a 8mo old boy 2 days per week. I am able to take one additional child part time. I provide a loving and teaching environment. I also participate in children's ministry at church. The reason that I am so involved with children is that I love them and I have a knack for getting on their level and building them up. If you are interested, my home is at 25th Ave. and Cactus. Please call me at ###-###-####.

I highy recommend them. We spent a total of 3 years there between my two children. We loved every minute of it! All the teachers were great.

I second the recommendation for Northwest Christian Preschool. We love it! They also have an option for parent participation/aiding and we enjoyed being able to be in the classroom 2x/month and receive a discount on tuition.

Kiran,

I'd encourage you to check out the new preschool program at Imagine Bell Canyon (www.imaginebellcanyon.com). Its part of the Imagine Charter School system. They have hired a new preschool director and are completely revamping their program to include credentialled teachers, a curriculum aligned with Arizona Early Learning Standards and a varity of enrichment opportunties.. It's an all day preschool program(8-3:30). They also have a before and aftercare program for working parents that provides seamless care from 6AM-6PM.

Hi Kiran,

Check out Work of Heart Learning Center. We had our youngest there and we and she loved it. The ladies who run
it are awesome not to mention warm and caring. They have created a wonderful environment for the kids to learn in a fun way. I hope you go and talk with them, I don't think you will be disappointed.

You might want to look at Joy Community Preschool. It's at the large church at 101 and 75th Ave. I like this preschool because the kids have the same teacher and the same group of kids in their class each time they go. It is very structured so the kids know what to expect - craft time, recess time, time to go home etc. My daughter had great teachers there both years she went and they have several different schedules depending on how many times per week your daughter will attend.
