Hello Moms!

My family and I are moving to Flower Mound in a few weeks and I think I may need to find a preschool fairly soon. My oldest son is 2 1/2 and currently enrolled at Chapel Hill Children's School at White's Chapel UMC in Southlake. I am going to have to start picking him up early (12:30-45) because he refuses to nap at school, and I'm not sure that the commute will jive with my younger sons' schedule (1 yr old twins). Soooo, I would like to find a preschool in Flower Mound that takes 18 months and up (so that the babies can go to the same school next year, they will turn 2 on October 15) and that I could get a 2 yr old slot mid-year. I would prefer a church, or at least a "school" feel - not a day care. I want Jake to get socialization as well as some age-appropriate academics - colors, letters, numbers, shapes, etc. We really love Chapel Hill, I just don't want to keep the twins in the car all day 2 days a week! Thank you for any recommendations or advice!!

What can I do next?

My 4 year old daughter goes to Alden Montessori and she LOVES it! It opened 1 year ago and enrollment is booming because it is such a wonderful school. I know you said you would prefer a church but Montessori schools are so enriched with their wonderful academics. Visit www.aldenmontessori.com and see what you think. Good luck with your search!

First United Methodist in Lewisville has a program for 18 mos old. It is an excellent preschool. We don't go there , but I have many friends who have children who've gone there and they have raved about it. Very popular choice in Flower Mound. They are located on Main Street/1171 over by the Walmart.

Hi. My girls go to the preschool at Lakeland Christian Academy in Lewisville. It's in the Lakeland Baptist Church at 35E and Main Street. They have programs for 18 months and up, but only for 1 or 2 days when they're that young. I think the school is wonderful! Definitely a school and not a daycare. They follow a curriculum as well. You can check out their website at www.lakelandchristianacademy.org. Good luck to you!

Depending on how far you are willing to drive and what part of Flo Mo you are moving to, check out Lamb of God (Lutheran), Triech (Methodist), Temple Baptist, and Garden Ridge Church of Christ. All have wonderful programs that have been around for years. If you are close to Triech, there is another church across the street that is great too, but the name excapes me right now. Good luck! Make sure and check out Mothers and More too for your own sanity. Great group of non judgemental women to help you do your best for your family.
