I checked out Northshore Christian Academy. I was incredibly impressed by them. My son is on the wait list for Kindergarten. They are in Everett kind of off Seaway Blvd.

I don't attend church and am not very religious - but would send my son. They didn't seem overly pushy and our church attendance isn't a requirement for him to go to school there - but it is integrated into the classroom (which is to be expected).

I really liked the Lutheran Prince of Peace preschool.

After we moved to Everett last year, we searched for a pre-school for our son. Since I had been on the board of director's at a preschool in Arizona I was very picky. We found that Starbright on 7th and Evergreen Mall Way was a very well structured school. It was founded by a lady who was the director of the child development center on the naval base for many years and follows the NYAC accrediation standards.

We are in the Southern part of Everett and my son attends New Horizon's Christian Academy. We love it. Mrs. Hizzy and her teachers are great. I have run into people who ask me where my son goes to pre-school and when I have told them, they rave about their (grown) children having gone there...20 years ago.
Good Luck!

Hi - I am the mom of three - 14, 5 1/2 and 4.
I don't know if you can go as far south as Mukilteo. But my kids have gone to Mukilteo Montessori on Beverly Park. I love it and so do both of them. If that is too far south - or a bit more than you were looking to pay e-mail me back. One of my clients had their 4 year old in a preschool program at a Luthern Church some place in Everett last year and thought it was pretty good.

My oldest (now 5 1/2) Loves to learn .... she was ready for kindergarten but had advanced so much through Montessori and her thirst for learning that we had her tested. She was able to jump into first grade this fall. I really like their programs if you have avid learners.

If you want to know more about the programs feel free to call me.
