I need help ladies. I'm almost 15 weeks pregnant for the first time. My belly is definitly popping a bit. I keep forgetting to ask the doctor this! Have any of you ever felt bloated. My belly just feels FULL!! I wondered if it's just because of everthing stretching and pushing out. It's not a comfortable feeling though. I want to enjoy being pregnant. Thank goodness it's not constant.

What can I do next?

Jules,

This is normal, and felling uncomfortable ALL the time is what pregnancy is for most of us,LOL

remember to lotion up your belly every day so you don't get stretch marks

What I try to tell my friends is that little aches and pains is just a reminder your going to be a mom,

and there is also a saying that says Suffer during pregnancy so you don't suffer after the baby is born.
( or something like that)

Rest assured its all normal,

CONGRATUALTIONS!!!

M

Yes, this is most definitely normal--no worries! At 15 weeks you have a huge number of different feelings ahead of you. Your body is doing a beautiful and miraculous thing, enjoy (and record) all of these changes.

You will start "showing" at 15 weeks a little bit. But bloating now and later in pregnancy is totally normal! It has to due with pregnancy hormones and yes your growing belly as well. I am 16 weeks and for those who know I am pregnant can see my little baby belly but I get a huge upper bloated belly too and it is so hard and uncomfortable. It is already hard for me to eat a normal amount of food. I have to eat several small meals every day instead of 3 big ones. Good luck!

Congratulations! I'm almost 18 weeks pregnant with my second and experiencing the same thing. While not comfortable, it's totally normal and nothing to worry about. Once you really move into the maternity clothes, you'll feel much better. They're not the greatest looking, but they are comfortable. Find a few cute pieces and you'll feel cute, and you'll have fun when people notice and congratulate you. Others had good advice about the water and small meals too (the little strategies that get us through to the awesome big event are key!). Good luck & enjoy!

Hi J.! I had the same issue throughout most of my two pregnancies and had a very hard time gaining adequate weight because of it. I'd recommend learning to eat quite small meals several times a day. I called it 'grazing'. This is just one of the many, many weird feelings you are going to experience in the coming months so try not to let it bug you too much! Good luck.

J.,
I am 20 weeks preggo with my second. I had the bloating in both pregnancies. However this time I clued in to it being after I eat or with certain foods. The pregnancy hormones can slow down your digestive tract causing excess gas. I take Gas Ex. Totally safe in pregnancy and it makes me feel soooo much more comfortable. Good Luck and congrats!

I felt that way almost every day of my pregnancies, always towards the end of each day...like around 4pm and on. I always made sure I wore loose pants for that reason, or I would unbutton them and do the rubber-band trick.
It is normal.
Good luck!

No worries, J. -- this is all totally normal. The bloated feeling is normal, kind of like right before your period, except now you have even more in there. Trust me, I've been through it 7 times. And motherhood is worth every bit of the discomfort! Congratulations.
