Pregnancy and Miscarriage Scare

Hi ladies. I had a miscarriage last December and my husband and I immediately started trying again right after my miscarriage was over. After three months of trying, I finally got pregnant. I should be 7 weeks now. When my miscarriage happened I was about 7 to 8 weeks. I sort of knew it before I had my miscarriage since I didn't have any pregnancy symptoms really. This time around I probably felt nauseated three times and a little cramping here and there and my breasts do not feel tender.

I am afraid to go in for an ultrasound in fear of not seeing a heartbeat or what not. I will make an appointment to go in next week to see how I feel this week. I can't help but be fearful of what will happen. I am dying to feel morning sickness and all the other symptoms of pregnancy just so I know everything is going well.

I guess I don't really have a question but that shouldn't I start having more symptoms at 7 weeks? I had no problem conceiving the first time when I had my son and felt sick to the bone right after I got pregnant.

Thanks.

What can I do next?

I had two miscarriages and really struggled with fear for the other pregancies. I miscarried my first pregnancy, had 4 babies, miscarried again, then just had a healthy baby a year ago. I wish you the best.

Having a miscarriage changes your entire view of pregnancy and how fragile that little life can be. I wouldn't start worrying in earnest yet, but you will find that in any pregnancy from now on you will worry about ANYTHING that doesn't seem exactly on target or exactly the same as your full term pregnancy. Take a deep breath, go ahead and go to your Dr appointments, and just go day by day.

My boobs did not get sore with my 2nd or 3rd pregnancies -- only my 1st. In fact, they didn't even get LARGE until around 16 weeks once my weight started increasing. I also didn't get any nausea until around 8 or 9 weeks. Each pregnancy has also been a bit different for me (baby #2, I had NO NAUSEA OR OTHER SYMPTOMS AT ALL THE WHOLE TIME). Just pray a bit (if you are religious) or relax and meditate a bit (if not) and go in for the U/S when it is scheduled. Remember that there is nothing to be fearful of because miscarriages generally happen for a reason (cell/genetic abnormalities, etc). Just hope and pray for a healthy little one. It is hard, but the anxiety isn't helping your little one or you. Best wishes and God Bless.

I miscarried the 1st time I was pregnant and was so paranoid the next 2 times I got pregnant. With my son I had symptoms right away so I knew I was pregnant but now with my daughter it took about 10 weeks for me to feel pregnant. Even after seeing the heartbeat I didn't believe it until I felt it :)
Try not to stress too much, if that's possible.

Before I had my son, I had a miscarriage at 6 weeks.
The Doctor told me to wait 3 months, before trying again.
I did.
We then got pregnant after that.
With my now 4 year old son.

With this pregnancy it was fine.

Each pregnancy has different symptoms.
All you can do is go to your Doctor appointment.
Try not to get too worried.

Hugs..

I know what you are going through. I had a miscarriage at 6 1/2 weeks (I had an ultrasound for dating purposes and they found that I had miscarried). I had all the morning sickness symptoms that time and it didn't really matter, I still didn't have a baby. I got pregnant again a month later and I have been a total basket case. I did go in for an ultrasound at 6 1/2 weeks because I figured it was better to know then than to find out at 10 weeks. I was so petrified, I felt sorry for the tech. When she tried it on my stomach and said I have to do the internal version because I can't see much, I flipped and almost started crying, "oh no, it's happening again, you can't find a baby." She was like, "no dear, relax, I see something but you are too early to do it this way." Anyway, I did see the baby and heart beat, but I still couldn't relax. Every cramp would send me into a panic. My husband and his family were getting annoyed because I refused to tell anyone (my husband did not respect my wishes and told everyone he knew). I had a 12 week ultrasound today and baby is still there and now I feel I can relax a little. My SIL lectured me again today that I need to stop this craziness, but unless you have experienced a loss, you just don't get it. Anyways, not everyone experiences morning sickness. I didn't experience it with my son until I was around 8 or 9 weeks and I felt exhausted with my daughter from 6 weeks on. every pregnancy is different. Get the ultrasound, at least you can have a shred of relief. Good luck to you!

My MIL has no idea what morning sickness feels like and she has 2 kids. Every pregnancy is different and as long as you are not bleeding you are most likely in good shape. Best of luck!!

My first pregnancy was completely symptom free apart from the tests. I was so happy when I started to get a bump so I knew I was def pregnant and nothing was wrong. Try not to worry , many pregnancies are symptom free.

Congratulations

I have known many people who had no symptoms and had perfectly healthy children! I didn't start having symptoms myself until 8-10weeks and then never stopped until my baby was born. Every pregnancy is different. My sister was sick as a dog her first, never sick her second. My best friend was sick with the second, but not with the first or third.
