I am 7 weeks preggo and have been experiencing some aches, pains and spotting. I dont see my doctor until next week so thought i would get some feedback on here. Lately i have been getting all around belly aches and pains, feeling like pinching and tugging, not just in my lower belly but up under my breasts as well and all the way down. I have all day nauseus but not throwing up, and achy breasts. I am bound to the couch with exhaustion (2 kids at home) and feel like a really bad mom at this point. Several months ago i went through a d and c with a late miscarriage, so when i started spotting it concerned me. I have only spotted once a day in a 3 day period, very light when i wipe usually mid afternoon after i've been busy around the house. Its accompanied by the tugging and belly ache, not cramping just an achy feeling. Any tips or suggestions? thanks all. I havent called my doctor yet because i changed practioners last month and havent even been in to confirm anything (they want to wait til i'm 8 weeks)

What can I do next?

Keep resting and don't feel bad for the kids it's a short period of time in there life they will make it out just fine! I just recently went through a very rough first 4 months with my third pregnancy right now but my kids are just as happy as they were before it all started. Also as far as the bleeding are you constipated? cause it could be as simple as that I know after a bowl movement sometimes when pregnant and constipated I would have a little bleeding pretty common I think!

I think you should call your doctor right now and insist on going in. My doctor said with any spotting- she would bring me in immediately and do an ultrasound. We were able to see the heartbeat at 6 weeks with this pregnancy. With your history of loss, I think that your doctor should agree to do an immediate ultrasound- if not, then ask for a different doctor. Take care and best wishes for you!

Hi O

Just keep resting as quietly as one can with two kids. If you feel you need to see the doc before next week...Call him!

Blessings.....

Too bad for your dr. Usually if you have any spotting they will want to see you even before 8 weeks. If they don't go see another dr.

I agree that the blood could be constipation. If I was you, and concerned, I would call the new doc, let the nurse know my concerns and have them make the call if it is normal, or to see you earlier. I am on my 2nd pregnancy and find this one MUCH more painful as far as the ligament pain than my first was.

Under normal conditions you should wait 8 weeks. You need to be sitting in an OB's office right at this second. You shouldn't come in here looking for reasurance that everything will be ok because we really don't know. I say that with a hug. You are understandably nervous about this and looking to hear that you are fine. No one should tell you that on these or any other boards. I had spotting and tugging and it turned out I was dilating. I was a little further along at 20 weeks but baby was trying to come out anyway. She's 1 now - carried to term and fine. If I hadn't gone in she wouldn't be here today. You're at that super critical go either way point. Go get checked out TODAY!!!!!!!

It's definately something to mention to your doctor but probably not something you need to worry about. My first time I was pregnant I passed a large blood clot and had spotting for 3-4 weeks. On my ultrasound they found a small vaginal tear that they monitored throughout my pregnancy. I was told that it is fairly common to have small tears and spotting. Anything from going up stairs, to exercise, to lifting something heavy, to sex can cause a small tear.

I would say that at 7 weeks, you are far enough along that they should see you, and that you should call your doctor. If you are having the spotting after cleaning or carrying things (or children!) around, then I would suggest that you take it easy. I know it's hard when you have children in the house (I have 14 month old twins, and am 24w), but for your health and the health of your baby, try to rest more. It may be nothing at this point, but it may be the beginning signs of a troubled pregnancy, or sorry to say, miscarriage. Call the physician and get in sooner, no matter that they want to wait until you are 8w....you may be further along than you think, who knows?
Good luck to you and I hope things turn out well during this pregnancy!
