My son is 3 and 1/2. He'll be 4 in October and we are looking for a pre-school to start him in the fall for 3 - 4 days a week. Any suggestions would be great!

Little Preschoolers in Clinton Township is an excellent preschool (and very food-allergy aware, I might add!). They are located at Romeo Plank Road and Canal Road by the Clinton-Macomb Public Library. The teachers are wonderful!!!!!!

We just moved here in September and sent our oldest to Oakland Christian Pre-school in Auburn Hills. It is fantastic. Our son is learning so much and can't stop talking about his teacher and class for the five days he doesn't go to school. There is a 3 day program, but we chose the two day for Jack. We love it so much I am going back to get my Master's so we can send all our children to Oakland Christian all the way through high school!

Sterling-Warren Montessori on Schoenherr just N. of Masonic.
I can't say enought about that place. My sons are now 10 and 13 and they both went there. What a great start they had to their education. They both stayed through kindergarten. K.

Faith Lutheran Preschool on Dequidre in Troy is great! They teach with a very kind heart. They are Christian based. You should stop by or call for more information. I sent my children through there and know a lot of people who love the program!

Hi J., Pre-school can be an exciting thing for everyone! I don't know how far you want to drive, but when our son was little ( he's 19 1/2 now!) he went to St. Stephen's Co-Op on Adams, between Long Lake and Square Lake in Troy. It is still a wonderful school, nurturing, kind, small classes. It is a co-op so the lower cost is offset by Mom or Dad working about one day a month, I think it was. It's at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, but isn't a church school.

There is a group called The Greater Detroit Cooperative Nursery Council - www.gdcnc.org/ that has information on lots of co-ops. With a younger sibling sometimes the co-op thing is hard...unless you get to know some of the other moms and trade little ones on your work days.

Just an idea. Have fun!

Hi,
I would highly recommend Macomb Christian Schools Early Educational Center. They have Pre-school, Pre-K, they also have extended Day Care. The program is wonderful. My children now attend Macomb Christian Schools and we are very pleased with their education. You can contact Jeannie Beck at ###-###-#### regarding Pre-School. If you have any questions that you would like to ask me please send me a note.

The MCS web site is: www.macombchristianschools.org

Hi J.,
Faith Lutheran Church has a great pre-school. They are on Dequindre, just north of 16 Mile Road (Big Beaver) on the west side of the street. They have a co-op preschool where moms volunteer to work one day a month when their kid is there and they have a regular pre school. My son went there and LOVED it. Their number is ###-###-####.

Hi,

My 4 year old loves the Rainbow pre school at the Troy community center. He started when he was 3, and you have the choice of 2-3 days a week. Morning or afternoons.

It has been a wonderful experience for our family.

Happy looking!

Hi J., My daughters both went to CPC (Career Prep Center) for 2 years. It is a program for high school seniors. Your child will get alot of one on one attention. For my youngest daughter she went for 3 years of preschool (Late birthday) she went to the World of Fours program. You have to qualify to attend. You really should check it out there are so many ways for you to qualify. By the way I live in Sterling Heights also. CPC is located on 15 mile and Maple Lane. And the World of Fours Program is at Warner Educational Center at 15 Mile between Ryan and Dequindre. If you have any other questions just ask. Good Luck. J.
