My son starts kindergarten in the fall at Blue Oaks Elementary, and I really want to make sure he's ready for it, he's in a great preschool now but it doesn't have a summer program. Does anyone know of summer school pre-k in the area? I have just been randomly checking churches and googling but haven't found too much.

Brighton School in Granite Bay has a fun summer program where the kids learn about a different habitat (dessert, ocean, jungle etc). They go on several fun field trips and review academics so that they aren't lost before kindergarten starts. I'm on my third child going through the program and we like it a lot. Granite Bay Schoolhouse is fantastic! Our daughter is completing her first (& unfortunately her last) year there (Kindergarten) and we couldn't be happier with the teachers, the amount of art created & scholastics learned. Definitely worth checking out.
Our son went to Phoenix Schools in Roseville (near Roseville Parkway & Pleasant Grove) for pre-k and loved it! He really learned a lot in their program. Our daughter will be starting in the fall. They run year-round.
I LOVE my daughters preschool. They don't have academic programs in the summer--but do have summer camps. They are called The Sunflower School in Roseville. www.thesunflowerschool.net

The Merryhill in Natomas has a kindergarten preparedness program, so you may want to check your local Merryhill schools.
