Potty Dance Song and Other Catchy Potty Jingles

My daughter just turned 2 and although we ask her if she wants to go sit on her potty or if she has to go, we never force her. We don't want her to hate going potty and make it a battle. About 6 weeks ago, she went to the potty twice in a week, and hasn't gone since. Well today we saw a commercial for the Huggies Potty Dance Song and she loved it. She sang it all day and talked about the potty all day too. This evening she told me she had to go potty, sat on her potty and actually went, and then mentioned the Potty Dance again. I still have no plans to force her, but I do want to encourage potty use and I really think the song did it for her today. Does anyone know of any catchy potty songs?

What can I do next?

When my son was reluctant to poop on the potty, and the FINALLY got iy--we used to march around singing (to the tune of Glory, Glory Hallelujah) "He's a Super Duper Pooper!" LOL

Sounds like the one she heard is working pretty well. I'm sure Huggie paid a lot of $$ for market research before that commercial aired!

It seems as though you can find anything on youtube. Though I think I would put children's songs into search not potty songs--you never know what will come up.

i'm going to my Pooooty spot, totally stuck in my head not sure where we found it though. sort of a raggae feel.
I had good luck getting potty training board books and dvd's out of the library. One video the kids liked had a real girl and boy and think there is an Elmo one, too.

I think you can download that potty dance song for yourself. I know they have videos. Go to the Huggies website and read about it and see what's available for you to use. If she's into it then capitalize on it for sure! Good luck!

When my cousin was potty training, the first time he pooped in the toilet he was soo proud of himself. He came out of the bathroom singing "I poo-poo in the pot-TAY! Poo-poo in the pot-TAY! I poo-poo in the pot-tay 'cuz I'm a big kid now!" LOL! (It's to the tune of the cha-cha-cha song.) So we all (my other cousin, grandma, and I) all danced around the kitchen with him doing a cha-cha line singing the song with him. :P
