What are your opinions on PBK backpacks? I didn't realize they had taken their reviews off of the website. Thanks!

I love them! I always get two years out of them. The small will fit standard size folder, and 1 inch binder , library books and I can still put their lunch box inside or hook it outside the packback. The larger outside pocket I pack their snack.. . I use medium for pre-k, kinder and 1st and move up to the large in 2nd.

2nd year they still look really good. I use to buy 15 to 20 backpacks and they never lasted a school year.

Personally, I don't like them. Sure, they're cute and trendy but I also think they are thin and meant to last one school year tops.

I bought one two years ago - I paid extra to have the Owl put on the front. It came unattached. I sent it back free and they sent me another. The ow peeled right off. I wasn't thrilled with the quality so I sent the whole thing back. Just way to expensive for the lack of quality.

I ended up buying a bag in Target that she loved and still uses. We have an LL BEan from Kindergarten that she has carried on every trip for years. Love LL Bean.

I did keep the Pottery Barn lunchbox - love it and still use it.

I love PB backpacks. I order large so they can use them longer. They are also great for sleepovers.

edit: We are on our 3rd year and it is still in great condition.

My kids both have them and they seem to be good quality. My son has had his for two years and has not had any problems. I bought a new one for my daughter this year because she had a light colored one last year and it started to look a little dirty but otherwise it was still in perfect condition. I also really like the lunchboxes because they have a hard liner that makes them easy to clean out.

We are going two years on ours and I see no wear in sight. It could last another couple of years.

I buy backpacks at Walmart and we still have all of them, years later. For $20 I can get a really cute one to use for myself and I guarantee it will still be around years from now.

You have to buy the large size one to fit an average size 9 x 12 folder. They are really too big for littler kids, IMO. Lots of unnecessary pockets and buckles.
