So I'm just curious what to expect after I stop nursing my little guy, sizewise. I know everyone is different, but what was your experience? Mine got HUGE when I was pregnant, bigger for the first 8 months or so, but are now getting smaller again. Bras I got during pregnancy are too big, pre pregnancy are way too small and I'm having to wear nursing bras every day because that is all that I have that fits. I don't want to shell out any more cash for bras until I'm fairly sure my size is not going to change, since he's still nursing a few times a day I should probably wait until we are completed finished, right?

Most of my friends have "tube sock" boobs after nursing two/three kids. LOL. I think it really depends on the person and genetics. I started at 135 and a B cup with my first. They got bigger and then I nursed 13 mos. Also got pregnant again and had kids 18 mos apart. They didn't get as big second time around and shrunk back to normal much more quickly after. Only nursed 6 mos second time. Maybe its because I wasn't a great milk producer - I had enough but never anything extra even with pumping a lot.) But mine haven't changed much. They are about the same size and maybe not quite so perky but at 142 lbs after nursing two kiddos I am still a B cup. Was that TMI? :)

Wait. As you've read, some end up w/a bigger size after and some smaller. I ended up smaller after number 1 (C to B with DD in the middle) and think I will be even smaller (A/B?) after this one. I know a woman who went from D before to A after. It depends. For what it's worth, even non-nursers experience big changes from start to finish.

Pretty much similar to what all moms have said below - was a B pre-preg, C during preg, D and sometimes DD while nursing. After DD weaned, took boobies 4 months for my boobs to decide its time, and now I am a C, and I forgot what perky looks and feels like.
Wait for at least a month till you finish nursing for good (you'd know when your Bs decide to get into a final shape and size), and go to a lingerie shop. They can help you find the right band and cup size. I did the same, and bought a couple of them for politeness. Then, went and got some more from dept store. :)
While nursing, always, always wear a good bra with a good support, and wear it as tightly as possible. You may look funny or feel uncomfortable for a few months, but trust me, it is worth it. I made the mistake of loosening the straps during nursing months, because it felt a bit comfortable. Now when my boobs are looking saggy, I feel so bad.

I just verified this with hubby, and my boobs have pretty much always been the same size. We think they might have been a tad bigger while I was nursing (hard to remember since our youngest is 3), but I can still wear my pre-pregnancy bras.

I would wait until a couple of months after you finish nursing, but I also wouldn't get rid of any of your bras if you plan on having more kids. Each pregnancy really can effect your body differently, so you just never know.

Wait until you are finished nursing, then after a week or two, go to a good lingerie shop which does fittings. You'll be happy with the bras you get, they'll fit correctly. I wore nursing bras exclusively until I was done nursing my little guy; I'm glad I went to a lingerie shop instead of a department store; turns out that the dept. stores only go up to a certain cup size, so I had the improper band size to compensate for the smaller cup sizes they offered. You might need a bigger one than they carry. For what it's worth, I got bigger, and smaller, but my 'smaller' after nursing was bigger than I was originally.

Good luck!

Nurse him as long as you both want and don't worry about this. My baby nursed to 14 months - he is now 20 months - and I really miss the nursing days. I loved nursing him to sleep and being able to comfort him that way. The cuddling that also took place was awesome. I am so grateful for the gift of having nursed him - maybe more than most as my first baby never was able to latch (preemie). Wait until you are totally done - then worry about it.

I went up a full cup size as the result of each pregnancy/nursing baby. I was a C originally, went up to an F while pregnant/nursing, and then back down to a D, where I stayed. Until, that is, baby #2, when I went up to an F again while nursing, and then to a DD after I was done nursing. I'm a DD to this day. Sadly, they are not as perky as the C was. :(

You should wait. Mine were very discouraging after I finished nursing. They were not even in the shape of boobs. LOL It took about 6 months before they got to be the same shape as before. Just a lot more saggy!! After I quit nursing I wore sports bras until I quit producing milk and this seemed to help. I got huge and my back hurt!! Good luck to you.

A size. The drooping is a bigger deal then size, well what a shock after being a d during pregnancy and nursing to go to an A after it was all done.

My experience is I pumped for 6 months and I lost all of my "baby" weight by 15 months (I know weight can also affect size). Pre-pregnancy: d cup, durign pregnancy: larger band and DD cup, postpartum: F cup, when I lost all of my "baby" weight: DD cup. I actually weigh 5 lbs less than I did when I got pregnant, but my bra size is larger. Sadly, they are also much less perky and more "empty" looking (without support) than before pregnancy :(. I would suggest going to a discount store and getting a couple of bras that do fit you. You can try a store like Ross, Burlington, of Beals Outlet. That way, if you are happy with a particular brand, you can probably find last years designs in the same brand for less! You will most likely have to go shopping again a while after weaning.

Mine went back to normal after nursing.
Remember that boobs are fatty. So if you've gained weight and are planning to lose some, boobs are in that equation.
I'm 55, nursed 2 boys for about 3 years. My boobs are still perky, but I'm just a B... was a c/d ish while nursing.

I started my pregnancy at 175lbs and I was a bcup. I went up to a D after I had my daughter until she was about 7-8 months old then went down to C cup. I stopped nursing a month ago and I am now 140lbs and my boobs aren't my boobs! They seem smaller and of course saggy compared to what they were before I got pregnant. I would go buy some bras from Ross or TJ Max just so you have proper support. I wasn't able to wear a normal bra with a underwire until I quit nursing due to it affected by supply. Support Support Support, if you want your girls to have a somewhat resemblance to what you remember.

I was a C before first baby, B after nursing her. I was a B before #2 and am now an A- after a year of nursing her. It sucks but I don't regret it! Lol. She also sucked about 15lbs out of me and it took me a couple of years to gain that back and she's 4 1/2 now and I'm still struggling to keep my weight ON b/c she's such a handful!

:( My post baby/nursing boobs are a sad and sorry shadow of what they once looked like.

Before kids I was a nice sized C cup, perky and I could get away with not wearing a bra... or wearing something with a shelf bra.

Now, I'm about a B cup and saggy saggy saggy. Kind of like sad deflated balloons.

I've been done nursing for 2 years and I'd say it took a full 9 months after weaning for them to finish shrinking.
