I believe our pool or equipment has a leak. Does anyone have any experience with pool leaks? I'm worried about the cost and who to use. Any suggestion would be appreciated!

I thought I had a pool leak a few years ago and contacted California Pools. They insructed me (over the phone) to conduct a "bucket test" - it will determine whether or not your pool is leaking - or, as was in my case, I just needed to add more water to the pool because it was so hot that summer. We use Ivy Pool Services, and Dennis has done a great job of troubleshooting and repairing our equipment. He might be able to help, and his pricing is fair. ###-###-####

I am using Ranger Pool Service right now to fix a leak in my pipes. It will cost me about $750 and they are also going to clean my filter now that my pool is so dirty from lack of cleaning. Roger is who I was refered to.

H ithere. My brother does this exact thing. I know you don't know me... but I can tell you my brother will do a good job and be honest with you. He works by himself, having started his own company this year, after having worked for a leak detection company for 3 years before.

I recommend him... HIs name is Drew Everitt, with Evolution Pool Services - ###-###-####. Give him a try.

God bless.

Hi - As a pool owner and a realtor, I have learned a great way to tell if you have a leak and it's cheap and easy. Get a plastic bucket. Place it on one of the steps of your pool. Fill it with water until the level of water in the bucket is equal to the level of your pool water. Leave on pool step overnight. If the water levels are significantly different, i.e., the pool water is a lot lower than the bucket water, you may have a leak. American Leak detection is a good one but do it now or they charge more in the winter as they have to use a wet suit to stay warm while in the pool. I don't have a phone number but I am sure it is easy to find.
