Pool and jumper...too Much? Is It Even Safe?

I would select just one and put the other way. when you have that many kids, it is about supervision and frankly, no matter how well intentioned, most moms see a party as a break and believe there is some one running things..of course, mom's keep an eye on their kids but the risk of jumping slids is real and pools are high risk..drowning happens in the most innocent of situations...

I have a gated pool and at our 4th party last year, never sat, just counting heads...the only other real set of eyes was our neighbor, a fireman, who deals with this all the time!

Kids love sprinklers....popsicles and bubbles..

I have gone to a friends daughters birthday, which is in July, and they had one of the those large inflatable water slides for the kids. It was quite high up so you would need an older kid or an adult at the bottom and the top to help the smaller kids. There is a pool at the end that they slide into, so there as well you may need someone to supervise. For the smaller kids, that didn't want to go on the slide, they had just a small kiddie pool. All the kids had a great time on the slide.

Sounds like a ton of fum to me. I'd have a life guard to stand at the pool. I know it's not a giant pool, but I don't want to be responsible for watching the pool and managing a party.

Have both,but get a guard for the pool.

Greetings M.: Let me say as one who has a fmily member whose child drowned unless you are having at least 2 life guards to watch at all times -- Please don't do it.
They have spent years in agony over the one time they turned their backs.
When people are at a party unless you only have a couple of children maybe 3 besides your own you get busy with refreshments, supplies, answering questions, seeing friends you don't get to talk to often on and on.
So yes it is to much just have everyone (including adult children) play in the jumper. We generally turn the hose on and had it going on the slide part of the jumper it was great fun. Have a game area and play croquet which the older kids will enjoy.

Awhile ago a friend of mine hosted her son's baseball swim party and was concerned about being responsible for all those kids in her pool. She went to the local public pool and hired one of their teenage lifeguards for the party. It worked out perfectly since that person had one specific job: pool safety and they were properly trained. My friend was able to take care of everything else. Good luck and have fun!

I would advise against doing both. We just had a jumper for a party and the kids went wild in it. I think they would be overstimulated having both! Plus, wet kids in the jumper would be asking for trouble.

I personally would choose the jumper over the pool. But, since you already have the pool, why not save the >$100 bucks? If your kids enjoy the pool, it will be even more fun for them to have their friends join in.

Even though the kids play in the pool most of the summer, having all their friends over for a party with it brings new life to it. My kids love to show off and share their home and favorite things. I'd say just having the pool is fine. Simple is good, and everyone will have fun.
