I just lost the person who watched my 23 month old son and am in need of a person a few days a month and a few nights spuratically. Hello K.! I, too, am a single mom with a 35-month-old daughter. I always struggle with the cost of daycare/preschool. I've been thinking about cutting my daughter back to 3-days a week and figuring out how I can swap with another mom one day a week. Maybe we can work something out. I also work for myself from home doing PR/Media.

My other thought is, I would be totally open to barting for some massage! It's the one thing I love to get but usually cut back on for budgeting purposes!

I'm also a single mom with a boy the same age. I'm also self-employed and work from home (graphics/tech writing). I take him to a babysitter once a week so he can have interaction with other kids his age - and to give me a break. However, sometimes I need some weekend time or an evening out. I have traded out babysitting and overnights with other single moms in the past when my older kids were very young and it worked out beautifully (even for years). I'm in Mckinney. From you, I am up the tollway to ikea then east on the 121 about 15 or so minutes. My schedule is flexible if you want to meet up immediately.
