Help! I'm trying to find a good pediatrician for my son. The one I currently take him to, I must say, I'm not crazy about. I'm a first time mom and I have alot of questions and I need someone who takes my concerns seriously and is willing to take the time to answer my questions. I only want the best for my child. Don't we all as mothers? If anyone has a recommendation, even if it's in the St. Charles county area, all would be appreciated. Thanks again fellow moms in advance.

What can I do next?

We see Dr. Lori Buffa in St. Peters. She is with Mercy Medical group. She is so good with my boys. Everyone that works in the office is very nice and helpful. My sisters take their kids to her as well. My sister in law takes her kids to one of the other Doctors in the practice and a lady I work with takes her duaghter to Dr. Buffa. All have very good things to say about the practice. Hope this helps.

Hi there! I completely understand everything that you are saying. My daughter has a lot of allergies and so forth and I LOVE her doctor. The entire office from the nurses to her doctor as well as the other doctors in the practice always make sure I fully understand everything going on. The have been absolutely wonderful! They are located in Chesterfield at Baxter and Clarkson.

I absolutely adore Robert Spewak in South St. Louis. He truly listens to me and respects my opinion. He treats the children with respect, so my kids actually look forward to going to him. The other doctors (except Dr. Whiteside) in his practice and his nurse practitioner and the same as he is. My kids trust them and know they will listen to them. I absolutely do NOT let Dr. Whiteside touch my kids since she missed a severe ear infection in both my daughter and a friend's son. She is the only one who has the attitude of "me doctor, you know nothing". But I just refuse her on sick cases when I need to get my kids in quick. It's no problem.

I see Dr Adam Eaton of Mercy Medical Group. He is located in St Charles right off of 364. He is wonderful and most of the other mothers I know take their kids to him too. He has never made me feel rushed, answers all my questions and takes into consideration what I want to do for my child.

Hope this helps.

Dr. Zuckerman at Clayton Pediatrics is awesome. He's pretty laidback, but never seems put out by answering the reams of questions I have (even if they don't make much sense). The other doctor in the practice is really nice too, as are all the nurses and staff. The number is ###-###-####, and the practice is located right at the edge of the Clayton business district. Good luck!

Dr. Susan Irvine, at St. Mary's in Richmond Heights, is really awesome. And we just moved out of the area, so she should have some openings. Just call the St. Mary's number to get in touch with her. Her practice is called "Kids First", and they really do put kids first.
