Hi all!
I have a 4 year old son who is just a joy to be with, but we are looking to add some other friends to our playtime. Does anyone know any playgroups close to the medical center area? Also, can anyone suggest a nice shady, treelike park that is fun for kids close to this area also?

What can I do next?

Hi! I have a four year old daughter. We are temporarily staying in the 1604/Potrance area while we house hunt. There is a park on Grissom (Cathedral Rock Park). Just has a slide/climber but I love that it uses the recycled rubber for ground cushion; and the hiking trails are nice too. I haven't been there yet, but there is a park off Bandera Road (O.P. Schnabel Park). If you would like to, we can have the kids meet up sometime at one of them.

Hi there! I had tried to start a playgroup here on mamasource 2 out of 5 moms showed up (one being my sister)....But I would love to try again....I am somewhat familiar with the medical area (all my doctors are down that way), however I am new to the area also and live in the stoneoak area, but I would come down that way if you wanted to meet at a Mcdonalds or something. I am a stay at home mom with a 4 year old little girl. Let me know if you want to do that.
Looking forward to talking with you.

Raymond Russell Park off I-10 is great for shade and exploration. They have 2 play areas too.
