Have you checked out the Morton Grove library? They have a weekly playgroup there on Mondays I believe. I haven't checked out the play group but I've met some pretty nice people at the library. I've also met people through classes that I've taken my daughter to at the Morton Grove Park District.
There are also MOPS groups you may be able to find.
