OHHH there are so many!!!!! I used to not know of any and I made it my mission to find a bunch.... I will say that Common wealth lake has two.. very nice and clean ones... one across the street and another on the other side of the lake... tons of ducks and a great walk around.

There is beaverton park that has the foutians.. that is fun on a hot day.

I have a site that I will be putting up a bunch of places... Give me about two weeks to get jump started.. Been a bit busy... I hope to get one up tonight or tomorrow... http://thingsandplacesforkids.blogspot.com/

It has a bunch of other fun stuff on there.. spread the word if you like it... Good luck dear.. I will do my best to get a few up there!

K.,

I am not sure about best, but we combine a trip to the library with a play session at the park...swings, climbing, and sometimes water play. It is all there.

For more fun climbing and sliding, I would recommend Magnolia Park (hillsboro??) by the Whole Foods off Cornell.

Good luck,
T.

Have you been to the playground at Tualatin Hills Recreational Park (158th & Walker)??? We love that one! Also, the Washington Park Playground is really awesome and isn't that far away, you could use it every once in a while to change things up a bit. Anyway, those are our favorites.

I know it's not in Beaverton. But every child young and old I have taken to Washington Park (down below the zoo) has loved it. It is big enough for kids of all sizes to play together, even grown ups can get in and play with the kids.

In Tigard, behind King City there is a nice, small, not over crowded park/playground. It is at the end of Fisher Road nestled in back of the "newer" houses clear at the back.

I don't really know Beaverton very well, but maybe this will help until you find something closer.

Well, I don't know if it's the best, but Melilah Park is where we go a lot because it's right by our house. The entrance to it is on 182nd Avenue in Aloha, between Johnson and Alexander. It's pretty easy to not see it, because from the parking area you just see the tennis courts. But it has a good play structure and swings, and if you go down the little wooded path, you get to basketball courts and a big field that we use for soccer and wiffle ball. The only drawback is...no bathrooms. Have fun!
