So What Happened?

We meet every Tuesday and Friday 10:30 thru 1:30, show up and leave when you want

Here is more info about what we do and where we meet.
If you have any questions or want directions just let me know.

We meet in a huge gymnasium, we have little trikes, toys, balls, tables and chairs, play ground outside, and free parking. Having it in a gym will allow us to play more games with the kids since they can kick a ball, run and yell in the gym. We meet from 10:30 thru 1-1:30pm. If you want to bring a lunch for yourself and your child(en) please do so. The last Friday of the month I will bring in pizza. This gym is at a church, I’m sorry if this is conflicting, but every other place said “NO”, and we have to meet in a large area, our houses are not big enough to hold everyone. The Church is allowing us to use their craft supplies and they are also providing the snacks, all the baby stuff (swings, exersaucer, toys etc.), they have two blow up jumpy castle thingies, little basketball hoop, tons of balls, there is a patio out side where the kids can use sidewalk chalk, there is a fire pit out there and we can use that if we want, they have a library where we can take the kids and read them a story, they are in the process of building an industrial kitchen and we can use that, they have a huge room with pool tables, Foosball tables, TV's, surround sound, couches, frig, table, she said we can use that for parents night if we wanted. There is just so much that we can do there.
This is not something you have to be committed to.

If you want to come and need directions you can e-mail me [email protected] or give me a call ###-###-####.

If you have any plastic cars, bikes or toys that you need stored for the winter months, may we suggest in the gym. Write your name on the items and when you want to take it home you can, but if you would like a little more room in your garage or storage area. They will store it for us and it will give the kids a chance to still use the stuff during the really cold days ahead. You can take them home at anytime.

We get together and have adult conversation. We are very real people and we talk about everything! The kids play, color, do an age appropriate craft, play with play dough, play a game, just have some go old fashion fun instead of running around like crazies with a ton of other kids at the malls.

If you come to the play group, please be your true self, you won't offend anyone and if you do, so what, that's their problem.

Hi A.,

I have a 5 year old girl and a 2 year old boy. I am a SAHM in Kentwood. I understand the need for adult conversation and would be happy to meet you at the mall play area or park or etc.

We have a playgroup in our neighborhood but it doesnt meet that often. I hear and have thought about checking out MOPS. They meet at many different locations. SOme local churches have playgroups also. With some groups the only thing I don't like about them is that parents are in one room and children are in another. WHo is there to teach them how to play with each other? Who is there that you know and trust to look after your child? Guess even though my oldest is in Kindergarten, I am still a little over protective.

I have asked myself about play group and have had no response, but I am a 32 yr old SAHM with a 6 yr old, 3 1/2 yr old, and a 20 month old boys plus a girl on the way due in November. If you are interested we could start our know play group, since our kids are so close in age. We live in Wyoming by Burlingame and 56th. You and I could always meet together first and then have the kids meet later if everything works out. Email me at [email protected] if you would like to start a playgroup.
