Places to Take 1Yr Old for Halloween

I am a first time mom and my baby girl will be a little over one year by the time Halloween comes around. I think she is too young to take her trick or treating, but I would like to take her somewhere where there are other kids dressed up. I am not sure if the malls here hold events for the kids or not.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.

I know, I'm super slow to respond, but...
The Little Gym always does a great Halloween. I know the Ahwatukee one seperates age groups by times, it is tons of fun, we have been going for lots of years. I think it is something like $10 to get in, but totally worth it. Good luck and have fun!

There's also Schnepf Farms in Queen Creek, which is a lot of fun without doing the trick or treat thing - they have a carousel, a train, a play area for kids, a corn maze, a bumble bee ride, piggie races, petting zoo and of course a pumpkin patch. It's every weekend throughout October. There's also Boo at the Zoo the weekend before Halloween - phoenixzoo.org. Have fun with whatever you decide to do with your baby girl!

If you live in Chandler, AZ - Cornerstone Christian Fellowship normally has a Harvest Festival, not sure if they still do it. But they have little games they have the kids play so they can win candy. They have lots geared for young kids and they help them win the candy if they are
having a hard time.

Cornerstone is on Alma/Pecos/Germaine area.

I hope that helps,
K.

I used to take my girls to the Superstition Springs Mall. There will be a lot of kids there and some of the lines will be long.

Some churches do a "trunk-or-treat", you may want to look into that. It is where you decorate the trunk of your car if you want to and then kids go around the parking lot of the church getting candy.

Hope this helps.

hi, S.,

we always go to a local assisted living center or nursing home. many of the residents will sit at the doors of their rooms and hand out candy. they love seeing such life and exuberance in the kids faces, and it teaches the kids about service and giving back to the community. my children (5, 3 and 1) always have a wonderful time. call around to find out what time they are accepting trick or treaters. some places do it in the morning or early afternoon, which i like because it doesn't keep the kids out late. have fun!

A lot of churches have activities inside for the kids on Halloween instead of going trick or treating.

Last year my daughter was 18 months old at Halloween and we took her to Fiesta Mall. It was great, all the stores were passing out candy and they had lots of funs events for the kids too. It was perfect since she was still too young to go trick or treating. Hope this helps!
