Can anyone recommend a good place to get a 1 year old to sit and cut his hair? Do they have any special thing that they do or cute seats for them? How much do they charge? My little boy's hair is so long, it's hitting his eyes! Thanks for your recommendations!

Hi K.,

I have taken my son (13 months) several times to KinderCuts here in San Jose. (kindercutsco.com) They charge $17 and they have little cars that the kids sit in. My son started going when he was 7 months because he had so much hair and they have little cars for the infants and bigger jeeps for the toddlers. They also have a TV for the kids to watch although I tried to make sure my son was distracted in other ways. Overall they were very good and good with him. It does seem to depend on who you get though, one lady gave my son a full on mullet and I had to go to someone else to fix it. Not good! However, the other experiences were great and he walked out without crying. =)

does a great job (even when my daughter cut off her bangs 3 days before being the flower girl in a formal wedding!). They play movies, have cute cars to sit in... it's like a big party. I see plenty of little boys leaving with cute hair cuts.

Hi

We have always taken our son to Just Kids Cuts in Burlingame. The sylists are so fast and there are flat screen monitors showing Disney movies or cartoons at each station. They have some cute seats too but the screens work well. My son has NEVER cried when getting a hair cut so it is easier for us than for some. But all they do there are kids so they are very experienced in how to deal with kids that are screaming and trying to get away. They also have an enclosed toy room with Nintendo if you have to bring more than one kid. Good luck and give them a try.

Kinder Cuts on Blossom Hill Road in San Jose is great. They have a jumping castle at the front of the store while you are waiting, and there are special car seats that my daughter loves (she is 13 months old).

Hi K.

My daughter took my granddaughter too Kindercuts across the street from Oakridge Mall. If you want, you can email me and I can send you a picture of my granddaughter sitting down getter her hair cut. She is 2-1/2 yrs old now, but I think she was close to being 2 when she got her hair done.
