My husband and I plan to go for a week to Mackinac Island in Michigan. We've heard it's beautiful there. We can't wait to go.

I live on Cape Cod and I must admit, it is SPECTACULAR here. Many, many beautiful B&Bs here. Some are splurges, other's are much more reasonable. You can take a day and go the vineyard, another day to Provincetown, another day to Plymouth. Go on whale watches, see live music under the giant tent of Melody Tent, sit on blankets and listen to the band play on the harbor green with the big boats bobbing behind. The sunsets are amazing and there are so many beaches you will never get to see them all. If you are going to come to the Cape, stay in a B&B or Inn!

I suggest staying in:
Sandwich (Dan'l Webster!! http://www.danlwebsterinn.com/)
Brewster (The Bramble Inn: http://www.brambleinn.com/index.htm)
Chatham (Chatham Bars Inn - wow http://www.chathambarsinn.com/)
Barnstable (Beechwood) http://www.beechwoodinn.com/

Here is a link to all the B&Bs: http://www.virtualcapecod.com/bed-and-breakfast,vcc.asp

Have a wonderful time!

Arizona! I love Sedona! The Grand Canyon is beautiful. Lake Powell is fun and you can rent a houseboat.

Colorado is beautiful! You can go to Pikes Peak.

Go see Crazy Horse in the Dakota's.

West Virginia has Oglabay Park. You can stay at Wilson Lodge. They have a pool, golf, horse back riding, mini golf, etc.

TN is fun, I loved Memphis (Beal Street) and Nashville too! Go to Graceland and stay at Heartbreak Hotel.

Pidgon Forge and Gatlinburg are a lot of fun.

There are so many choices in the US. Makes me want to book a trip.

Cruise to Alaska? You can catch those in Seattle, so not far to fly. We went on an Alaskan cruise for our 10th anniversary last year and loved it! Plenty to do and certainly opportunities to hike. We had a fabulous time there.

If you like outdoorsy activities, how about Banff, Alberta (in Canada)? There are all KINDS of hiking, rafting, etc activities plus the mountains are *amazing*. There's fine dining and because of the altitude it doesn't get ridiculously hot either.

If you like country music, you could go to TN. You could go to Mammouth Cave KY on the way, then hit Nashville and Memphis!
