Pillow - Allen,TX

I really need a good pillow. I wake up with neck pain almost daily and I suffer from headaches, which I think is related to my poor sleep. At this point I'm ready to spend any amount of money, but I don't want to spend $100 to find out that it isn't a good pillow, as we already have about $200 worth of pillows sitting in a closet because they didn't work for my husband or I. Anybody know of a good pillow, I'm predominately a side sleeper, but I do sometimes sleep on my stomach.

What can I do next?

I use memory foam i bought at Sam's for $24. I love, but hubby doesn't. He prefers thin down pillows & he is a back sleeper. I'm like you. If you've tried these already, then I would look at chiro adjustments, or if you don't feel comfortable with them, a general practice Dr. can do adjustments usually if they are a D.O. & not a M.D. just call & ask. I get neck strain often from office desk work & an adjustment makes a huge difference!

I have had a Sleep Number/ Select Comfort contoured neck pillow for 9 years. I LOVE it! I have really bad neck and back problems and it is all I can sleep on. They are a bit pricey, but go to the store and try it out, you won't want anything else. We bought a bed there too 9 years ago and love it. Good luck!

I use one of those memory foam contoured pillows. I love it and haven't had pain since I've been using it. Before I got it, my back and shoulders hurt constantly. This is my second one in 8 years. I think I got this one at Penny's, but my first was from Bed Bath. Neither one was very expensive for what it does for me (under $40 I think!).

I have a great foam pillow from IKEA. It is contoured in two different heights to accomodate a back or side sleeper. I can use it to sleep on my stomach. I want to say that I paid around $20-25 for it and I DEFINITELY can tell when I don't have it.

It has a zip on quilted cover plus you can buy pillow cases that fit it as well. I've washed the cover many times and it is holding up great. I've have the pillow nearly three years.

I usually fall asleep on my back, but roll to my side. I just flip the pillow around and sleep great.

Full Disclosure: I DO work for IKEA but not with the pillows or mattresses.

I actually sleep with a neck pillow from Brookstone (the kind you use when you travel) in addition to my regular pillow. I was noticing I wasn't getting enough neck support from anything I tried. Like you, I have many expensive pillows. This finally hits the area I needed support and I sleep so much better.

What kind of mattress do you have? Last year when I was pregnant & not getting any sleep we broke down & bought a temperpedic. I still like having my favorite pillow but get much deeper sleep no matter what pillow I'm using. The mattress is expensive buy well worth it.

I would go to the chiropractor and have my neck adjusted and buy a pillow from them.
