I've always had great luck with Target (Warner and Val Vista)...they are patient and the pictures turn out great (and the prices are reasonable).

My family and friends have been really happy with Kiddie Kandids in the Superstition Springs Mall (inside the mall by the Penney's entrance). We've always loved the pictures they've taken, they're patient with our children (and my husband...ha!ha!), and you can find coupons a lot of time online. It's not the cheapest, but it's not outrageous either. You can also set up appointments online or go in and talk to them about pricing options. Penney's also has a studio that I've heard good things about, but we haven't gone there ourselves. Good luck!

You could try Kiddie Kandids--it's in the Superstition Springs mall (right near the 60 and Power). There are no sitting fees and your pictures print in about an hour. If you ask for Rachel, you'll get some great pictures!

I have used Kiddie Kandids at Superstition Springs Mall for years and couldn't be happier with them. They do appointments or walk-ins too. By the way, Picture People went out of business.

I use the Target photo studio at Val Vista & Warner. THey have taken all of our Holiday & milestone pics since my 3 yr. old daughter was 10 days old. The only thing I don't like is the waiting time. If I need any "instant" photos, I use Kiddie Kandids at the Babies R US in Ahwatukee. It's a drive, but worth it. Just get there early on a weekday & you'll get right in!

I've also used Contempo Portraits a lot in the past. I haven't really gone anywhere else to compare it to (except once at the mall and it was my whole family--kind of a big group--and it turned out HORRIBLE. They didn't have a clue of what they were doing), but I've been pleased with the results. My sister is more artistic than I am and doesn't like the posed portraits Contempo does. She prefers a more natural setting, like outdoors, where a photographer takes pictures as your kids play or something. But that costs a lot more money probably, so I just stick with Contempo. It can get expensive if you order a ton of stuff, but that's up to you. It's a free sitting and I just go in and buy the 8x10 I want and that's it. Sometimes I get wallets or some 5x7s for grandparents, but I usually spend $50-$75 or less. I'm a professional organizer and I know from experience that less is more, so I usually keep it simple. If you pay tons of money and buy all of the proofs, years down the road it won't be any more meaningful than if you just have your one pose. It's actually usually less overwhelming and more likely to be looked at if you purchase fewer pictures.

We had family pictures and my son's one yr pictures done by Forget Me Not Photography. I was so happy with how they turned out. It is just one gal, she is mainly a SAHM, she gave us a CD with all the pictures on it, so I can print as many as I want. She takes amazing pictures of children that are so natural, not posed. I recommend Portrait Innovations to everyone I know! They are the best! They have captured many priceless, beautiful pictures of my children! They are fairly inexpensive, no sitting fees, etc. and do have a package that is $9.95. Of course, that is only one pose, but I have bought as many as five poses for less than $100. It is so worth the money and the drive. They are located by the Chandler Mall, next to Super Target. At Christmas I drove out to Glendale to have my children's portraits done, that's how important it was to have their pictures taken there:) The pictures are done in less than an hour. We usually schedule it around lunch or dinner and then we go grab a bite to eat and come back and get our pictures. I went to portrait innovations with my whole family. My kids, husband, brothers family and my parents and the place was great!!! They took tons of pictures and were great with the kids. They are also reasonable in pricing!! I went to the one by Chandler Mall.

You might think they are cheesy, because I thought they would be. But, Olan Mills in Kmart on Power, off US 60 take wonderful pics. My two teenagers, who love to take pictures went there. Their pics came out so nice. They always run a special for $10 and they take extra poses that you can also purchase.
