Naturopaths usually have to see clients, as they treat the body primarily, using up to 40 different modalities including chiropractic, ayurveda, herbs, conventional drugs, surgery, blood testing, diets, homeopathy, etc. Most of these use the allopathic manner of diagnosis and treatment is based on that. The type of homeopathy they use is usually acute style, not very deep acting. Some Naturopaths have also become Homeopaths and then that is the main part of their practice. Professional homeopaths and MD, ND, DC, DO homeopaths however are able to do phone consults because the information required is described by the patient verbally (in some cases by email) regarding all of their symptom history as well as traits about their personality, what makes them feel better and worse, family history and more. Those symptoms are reliably used for the remedy to be selected, individualized to each person in each situation. One person with an illness therefore is not given the same remedy as another person with the 'same' illness. It is whole person based rather than disease-label based, or one-size-fits-all. These cost 275-400+ in this area. I can send you names of several if you like. My rates consider the current financial times at 240, then family rated/scaled when necessary.
Hope this is helpful,
Liz

My female Naturopath I use in downtown Seattle has been a Dr. for over 20 years and her office visits are $90 and they last 30-45 min. I am a student at Bastyr Naturopathic college also and they do not recommend the primary office visits over the phone, but if you have been seeing the Dr. a while then a phone consult is fine since the Dr. is familiar with you and your condition. Good Luck!

I saw a naturopath a few months ago and it cost $115 for the visit plus what ever vitamins/herbs she recommended.

Our naturopath here in Oregon charges about $60 for an office visit and will consult over the phone a little, but generally doesn't do it in place of an office visit.

If you've never seen a doctor, of any persuasion, it would be extremely difficult for anyone to recommend a course of treatment. You can't talk your way through things, because something that may seem inconsequencial to you could make the difference in particular treatment plan or diagnosis. Anyone who would treat without seeing the patient has a credibility gap. Sorry, just my honest opinion.

Your profile doesn't say where you are. One of my friends is a naturalpathic doctor in Beaverton... Please contact me if that's anywhere close.
