I have taken that before and I LOVED it!! I only took it for a month (I couldn't afford it for a while) and lost 23 lb! It gave me more energy and I got a lot more housework done. It did give me the shakes but I have taken diet pills before and expect that now whit anything that works. I have a co-worked that got me started on it and she had lost 30 lbs her first month and to date has lost a little over 100lbs!! (she has taken it for a few yrs) If I had the money I would be back on it in a heart beat!

I have taken it before in the past as well. It works well to suporress your appetite. You must watch your caffiene intake with these. Also watch out if you are prone to mood swings. It is a stimulant and a strong one, so be careful. If you have any more questions or concerns, feel free to contact me. Good luck

My husbands doctor prescribed this drug to him for weight loss and some of the effects he noticed were blurred vision and extreme irratibility. This was after a month or so of use. Needless to say these are side effects that none of us could deal with so he discontinued use, and decided to go with the more traditional weight loss methods, diet and exercise. We found and few blogs on the internet about the drug and other peoples experiences with it, so it might be a good thing to look into. Good luck.

You HAVE to tell me who your doctor is. My mom and I were on phentermine before and lost so much weight. Unfortunately, the doctor who prescribed it for us passed away and I don't know who took over his patients. I think you'll be very happy with the results. I had no appetite, but when I did eat, I ate low fat. I was very successful, actually, it's the only things that has ever worked for me and believe me, I've tried EVERYTHING!!

well the only thing I really know about Phentermine is that it's affects are kind of like speed. Be careful with it. I guess as long as your PCP is watching and monitoring you on it, you should be ok. But if you feel like your heart is beating out of your chest or you're extremely tired (more than normal) definately contact them ASAP!!! It could be dangerous, but if you need to it's worth the try. Just keep in touch with your PCP about anything new that may be happening. Great Luck J. :)

I don't think I would take a diet pill. % years from now they come back and say it is bad and take it off of the market. My nursing background can say that there have been many pills over the years that have been pulled. There is a great thing called vitality for life that is actually willing to pay for pounds of weight loss. For info check out www.livegreeneasy2.com

Hi H.,
I, too, was on Phentermine. It's not the same drug that was pulled off the shelves for being dangerous. While, I agree no drug is 100% safe, I would definitely not disregard Phentermine. I was successful on it. I went from 340lbs down to about 255lbs. I don't take it now. It gave me that extra "oompf" to get moving. If you're watching what you eat and some excercise you'll be successful, too. Good luck! I know it's hard. Keep me updated on your progress.

Hey ladies,
My cousin took this diet pill and was very successful. I acutally took it for a few days and it made me not want to eat anything. I had to stop it because the docotor I was going to was too much money for me. Where is your doctor at because I was interested in starting to take it again.

This medication is half of the old fen-phen diet combo that was really popular in the 80s and early 90s. Fen-phen was really effective, but the 'fen' half was withdrawn from the market for some kind of major heart-related side effect. Phentermine has a long record of safe use and effectiveness when used correctly, so I wouldn't worry. Good luck!

This diet drug, also known as phen phen was used years ago and I was under the impression, taken off the market due to serious side effects. I know this because I was on it when it was a newly prescribed medication. It worked very well for me and I did not experience any side effects. I would still be on it if it had been available. I haven't been on anything since it
was unavailable and have learned, everything in moderation. Be sensible with your meals. Exercise. Try to eat whole grains, lots of veges or vege juice, take vitamins, limit your red meat and most importantly......keep a good sense of humor.

STAY AWAY!!! Diet pills are not the answer. Read the book "Skinny B*tch"...that is the real name. Changing your eating habits and life will make you thin...not chemicals. I am a vegetarian and have been for a year and prior to this was for about ten...well almost completely a vegetarian then...but now, almost vegan. Changing your way of life...eating habits and mindframe will change your life!!!Trust me. Putting chemicals into your body is not the answer.

I was on it for about 4 months and lost 35 pounds. I loved it. I am gonna get back on it after my pregnancy if I have an excessive amount of baby weight to lose. The deit and exercise route never seemed to work consistantly for me.
