I was just wondering if you had any special tricks to getting out old pet stains from berber carpet. The carpet has been steam cleaned and I've used Resolve carpet cleaner on the remaining stains. Once the carpet dries the stains reappear. I could really use the advice. Thank you
I've had success with Resolve carpet granules-- not the spray, but the powder that you rub in with a brush. Good luck!

Berber is a nightmare for cleaning because of its tight weave. I did have a lot of luck with the rug cleaner that combines two cleaning agents. An oxy type. Blue cannister, double sided. Try that. Then buy a dog gate to keep your pet out of the berber area.
I also wonder if you have any scraps of carpet left to have it cut out and inset in (after replacing the bit of pad below it too). Or, perhaps they have the same blend on sale, if yours hasn't faded yet, and buy a yard of it for this type of thing. They can weave it in and I'll bet you won't see the lines.
I love the Woolite with Oxy Clean Pet stain and odor remover! I have only used it on fresh stains, but it'd be worth a try on old ones.
I have the same type of carpet and its light colored. I have found that Natures Miracle works great. I get it at the pet store. Just pour it on the stain. soak it. let it sit for a while then get a washcloth and clean it. It gets the top layer stain out and also has some type of chemical in that cuts odor. Thats why I say let it soak. You want it to go down to the pad.
Its not cheap, but it really works.
I HATED my berber carpet, especially for that reason. ANY stain appeared to be cleaned, then after a few weeks it would re-appear in the exact same shape in the same spot. Never could get them permanately out. I will NEVER have berber carpet again.
I used Spot Shot on pet stains on berber when I bought my house. It worked!! Who'd of thought? And use the one in the aerosol can and let it sit and sit. Then rub out. Use it a few times if you have to and give it a good soak. And you will need some ventillation.
I'm afraid the stains are set-in. You might try buying a carpet cleaner with enzymes and then soaking the front and back sides and let air-dry. But as we learned with our white frize carpet, some pet messes just have color stains even though the odor and bacteria have been removed. Pulling up the carpet also lets you replace the affected section of the pad.
I have 3 dogs and this can be an issue. I don't have berber, but I use oxyclean and a sham wow. I soak the area with the oxyclean solutions, let it sit for a minute or two and then put the sham wow on it. It soaks get the liquid up from the pad. I am not sure if it will work on berber, but it can't hurt to try.
I don't know if this work with set in stains, but believe it or not I use scrubbing bubbles to get pet stains out. My dog is almost 15 and have only ever used scrubbing bubbles to get pee, poop, puke, etc out of the carpet. I've never had an issue with it discoloring the carpet and you can't tell after I clean with it. Good Luck!
The problem is the stain is in the pad. You can't get that out on your own. I'm not even sure a professional can get it out. I just had to pull carpet for the same reason. :(
