Personal question...possibly TMI

Not sure if this goes here or not but I had to ask. I can't be farther along than 9 weeks but my breasts have already gone from a size C to a extremely tight DD. And they HURT HURT HURT all of the time. In my last pregnancy my breasts went up to a size F.
I guess my questions are:
Has anyone experienced similar to this?
Is there anything that can be done about it?
Where could I possibly find a swimsuit big enough for the girls? (im dead serious)
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help out here!

What can I do next?

I had this problem - It was less sensitive as I got out of the first trimester. No, there is nothing to be done other than maybe take some tylenol. Seriously try a maternity store for you swimsuit needs. They should be able to accomodate you.

The Maddox Shop in Casa Linda is the place to go locally. This month's issue of Oprah's magazine also mentions some brands that go by bra size-- I think one is Panache. You might be able to find them on the Internet and mail order.

My breasts also ballooned immediately after getting pregnant (can you say major stretch marks). For the pain, I made sure to always wear a sports bra to bed because even rolling over would make them hurt. The pain should subside or completely go away after your 1st trimester. As far as the swimsuits go, try Motherhood Maternity. That's where I got mine, and you can mix and match the tops and bottoms for the correct fit. Plus, the prices are great. Good luck.

I just wanted to suggest figleaves.com for swimsuits and bras in DD+ sizes (they have all sizes too). I'd try to be fitted in a local store so you can get an idea of size. Few local stores have much selection in larger sizes but figleaves has a great selection. I hope you can get some help!

You are not alone, I wound up as a 34FF. I carried my first child in my breasts, I never wore any maternity clothes until I was 7 1/2 months along. I started leaking at three months which was much worse than the increase in size. Wearing the tightest bra I could stand was the only thing that helped. My child was born in Feb so I did not have to worry about swim suits later in pregnancy so I can not help there but check at the maternity shops they special ordered my bras for me because you could not buy them anywhere. Good luck with your new bundle of joy.

I had a friend that went to an F during her pregnancy. I think Motherhood can order bras and probably bathing suits big enough. Victoria's secret or Fredricks of Holleywood usually have bras/suits that go that big and if you are only 9 weeks, maybe you could find a suitable 1 piece that would work for the summer. But, try online, surely you can find something out there. You are not the only one who gets big boobs during pregnancy.

I had a friend that dealt with similar challenges. She had told me at one time that she would shop adult book stores that sell clothing. She was able to find a lot of things that way. I wish you the best of luck in your search.

I understand. I am nursing and go from a 32 c to a 32 g. I use fig leaves which is what nordstroms recommends. It's hard to find that size in a nursing bra that's supportive. Fig leaves has been great.

Although mine didn't stay that big, they did get that big with both pregnancies and they HURT also! I just wore a bra at all times - even to sleep, I found those with nylon were actually better on the tender areas that the cotton I usually wear. I just went out and bought nursing bras and they worked great. Good luck, know you are not alone!

Hi J.,

I got huge immediately also, and stayed big throughout breastfeeding. And sometimes my husband would just walk up behind me and hold them for me. not much of a sacrifice for him, but it felt so nice to not carry them for a while!
I slept in a bra for duration of each pregnancy, and I still had to sleep with a pillow to support the breast furthest from the mattress. I got a king-size pillow (not the full body pillow) and put it between my knees and between my breasts. This was a big help while sleeping.

Even though I needed a lot of support, I had to stop wearing underwire pretty early in the pregnancy. I just couldn't handle that wire anymore. I went to a bra shop and got some that were pretty adjustable. I thin bras were my biggest maternity expense!

Good luck!

OH sweetie...yes this is normal...if the girls are already this big...yep, they will get bigger.
as for the pain, cold compresses always helped me...not much more you can do.
Swimsuits can be purchased online for specific cup sizes...My girlfriends and I have to do this because we are DD and up, not cheap, but worth the investment.
Good luck to you!

Girl, if there is a solution, I have not found it! As a cancer survivor, I will not go under the knife unless necessary for my health. However, the girls have not gone down with either of my pregnancies, and I've had to give away a lot of cute tops and learn how to dress the ladies to appear smaller (without hangin cleavage out there either!).

I wear a lot of black and like wrap tops for slimming effect. Baby doll tops with empire waists used to look good, but now they are too tight on the girls and creap up, makin them look stupid! I've also noticed I have to buy shirts at dept stores - target/kohls/etc the shirts are not long enough for my torso with the girls holding up the extra material!

Ugh, seriously, I am turning into my mother, and her mother. Can't wait to see other responses. They ain't going away, so I might as well learn how to deal, right!?

Blessings on your third!
L.

J.,

I have a coworker is is a G and I'm an F. My breasts didn't change size with pregnancy, so I don't know what to recommend for the discomfort! Sorry! But try these two sites for a swimsuit. That is where I'm planning on buying mine! Best of luck!

I had this same problem when I was pregnant (and with each pregnancy "the girls" got larger and larger). I was able to order my swimsuit through a maternity store. It still was not the fit I wanted, but it was much better than wearing one 10 sizes too small in the breast.

Your pain should subside after your first trimester (at least mine always did).

Congratulations on your new little one and best wishes!
