I have tried Goof Off and rubbing alcohol and neither work. Please help...it there a store in MN that you can buy the sol u mel from?

I have two words for you: Magic Eraser!!! The magisc eraser is the worlds best product for removing permanant marker from anything!!! I even used it on my flat screen computer moniter once when my daughter decided to use a black perm. marker and colored the entire screen black!! If the magic eraser didnt harm my flat screen moniter, then i very highly doubt it will harm some fabric chairs!!

I would try WD-40...it may sound silly, but it works on getting a lot of things out...it's worth a try...Good Luck!

Hi L.,
Melaleuca has a product called Solumel. You can use it to take permanent parker off of photoes without ruining them. It is also non-toxic. Huge perk. If you have more questions please let me know I am a Director with the company and also a customer. I hope this helps.

My daughter did the same thing but with a dry erase marker. Murphy's oil soap worked on that stain.

I would try either making a paste from baking soda and water and rubbing that on it, or the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser.

Magic Eraser. Otherwise you might consider taking the seats off and recovering them if that doesn't work. They should just screw right off, wrap the fabric around the seat, staple on the back, and screw back on. I'd let her pick the fabric though :o)

Power Paste would probably get it off. That stuff is amazing! Some Bed Bath and Beyond stores sell it.

Good Luck!

Hairspray!!! My daughter got permanent marker all over the bassinet and my neighbor removed it with hairspray.

I do know that the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser does remove permanent marker. Not sure if it would work on fabric, but I would test it in a small area. In fact I would test any suggestion in a small area before using it. Good Luck!

Hi L.! I hate to break up the Sol-u-Mel party but WD-40 works much better to remove permanent marker. WD-40 is much cheaper too.

not sure this will work on fabric but in theatre we would use toothpaste to get permanent marker off of skin... I think it is the baking soda in toothpaste.

That is all I got, best of luck!

I am so glad you asked this. Today my 2 year old granddaughter was playing with the dry erase board I had picked up for her and she got green dry erase marker on her nice little top (we know now to put on a apron to use it). I tried rubbing alchol and hair spray after trying with shout and rubbing detergent into it and washing it with cold. I will have to try the magic erase marker since I worry that the wd 40 will leave a big grease mark.

Thank you.
